Needed Hotel with Great Location, For London Marathon, The Trafalgar ticked all the boxes. Located a stone's throw from St Jame's Park and the finish at Pall Mall. The first impression of Hotel, was reception area, which had a really fabulous shade of blue and staff were very helpful. Room was for Myself, Wife and two teenage daughters. Good size,...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 28 February 2017 via mobile

This is somewhat unique in the Hilton chain in London. It's all about location and the views over Trafalgar Square. I've stayed here a few times and I finally managed to bag the corner room on the second floor on my last visit. It's worth any premium and quite a treat to wake up and watch the tourist activity below....

Dear Marc S, Thank you for your wonderful review! It is pinned on our Team Board. We are delighted that you choose our hotel when treating yourself and that you had the opportunity to stay in one of our corner rooms overlooking Trafalgar Square, I agree it is the closest one can be to Nelson's Column in a London hotel...

Hotel is in a great location, but having used the hotel before somewhat surprised to find the upgrade work would impact so heavily. Main two bars closed- breakfast area located in a dull underground room. Staff excellent but not put in a position of empowerment to keep customers happy!!!!

Very noisy from drilling due to refurbishment which we were not informed about and is not mentioned on hotel website. Room very tired with poor decoration, random holes in ceiling. Bed very uncomfortable, no heating in bathroom. Staff nice and we were given a complimentary breakfast to compensate for noise but it didn't. Food very average.

The Trafalgar Hotel in London was a great hotel to stay. The location at Trafalgar Square is great, the Underground is very close, the staff is ready to help always and the food delicious. Ahmed and the breakfast staff are ready to serve a great breakfast every morning. The hotel is very near Buckingham Palace, the theater district, West Minster...

Choose another hotel in the same area, as Trafalgar Square is an ideal base for family holiday in London. Walking easily to every worthwhile tourist attraction - enjoy your holiday [in another hotel] No sense of arrival with the layout of this hotel. Rooms are extremely dated & noisy - yes there are updating which might move it into the...

Good service and spacious rooms. Stayed twice and will probably repeat. Breakfast served on the basement and slightly limited in options. Comfortable bed and linens. Staff is young and friendly. It is London so the price is ok.

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
