This places is quite literally across the street from the British Museum, and within walking distance of many restaurants, stores and the London Underground. The staff were very friendly and helpful; giving directions, answering questions, hailing taxis. The breakfast (which included) was very good, and they were great about providing seconds. Beware that the lift may not be working, it...

Very comfortable, good location, and helpful staff. Pleasant view from back window, as well. I was only there one night, but definitely enjoyed my stay. Ample breakfast choices and portions. I will stay there again next time.

This is a budget B&B in London. Great central location, right by the British museum. The rooms are basic, with no frills, but clean and tidy with tea making facilities and a hairdryer and soap and towel in the room. I found the bedding a bit thin so was a bit cold on the first night but after I found...

I made a booking on 30/3/16, to stay at the Ruskin Hotel B&B in June 2016 but had to cancel the booking, within 24 hours. They offered free cancellation up to the end of May, 2016. Much to my surprise, I was charged for one nights accommodation, on 30/3/16, which despite numerous emails, has not been refunded as at 21/4/16....

I've stayed here on two occasions and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it for its central location and reasonable cost. Its perfect for walking around London and close enough to bus stops and Tube stations if transport is needed. Hope to be able to visit again soon.

Stayed for 1 night at the Ruskin Hotel with my wife and 2 kids. Was aware from other reviews that unless we booked with an en suite we would have to share a bathroom so we opted for the family room with it's own bathroom. On arrival our check in was excellent, staff very helpful providing us with info on...

I stayed here with my children for two nights, it was very reasonable priced, I wasn't expecting much but was really surprised, large clean room with very high ceilings and two double beds, view of Zbritish Museum from balcony windows, lots of wardrobe space with hangers. Sink in room, toilet and shower room outside, but lovely hot shower, where you...

I only paid £59 on a late booking on booking.com which was exceptional value for a central London hotel. It is set over 3 floors (5 flights of stairs including narrow winding staircase from 22nd-3rd floor), if you have large luggage definitely avoid 3rd floor & if you have walking issues ask for lower floor. There is a lift but...

We stayed for two nights and had a great time. We were not expecting a room with an actual window, with an actual view of a park, at this price! The room was very clean with a great en suite. We also were not expecting a cooked breakfast which was a real surprise. This is a very reasonable, very well...

Booked for two nights, the Hotel is basic and dated and missing some of the mod cons like TV in the room, but! The rooms were spotless and clean, service was very friendly and the breakfast was good. For somewhere in the heart of London at a great price, that's clean and friendly that isn't a hostel then this is...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
