We booked this room through Laterooms.com for £193 for the night, which it turns out is far higher than the hotel's own tariff. There are no reception rooms, the staircase is like a school, there is no lift and no offer of help to lug your bags up the flights of stairs. You could barely walk around the bed as...

Stayed at the Fielding for a week in May and loved it. Located less than a block from the Royal Opera, it's a quick 5-minute walk to the tube and the Apple Market. Five minutes in another direction and you are in Soho. Clean room, nice bathroom facilities, plenty of electric outlets, coffee pot in the room, good tv channels,...

This was a great find. We were visiting the theatre and various other attractions in the area and needed somewhere central to stay where also our children could leave their bags and laptops after work before we all went out. The hotel is very smartly decorated with high quality furnishings and linen. We were upgraded to a suite, which was...

We spent 4 nights and this is a great location for theatre. Some great ones in the area and a 10 minute walk to Leicester Square which is Londons equivalent of Times Square. Friendly helpful staff and well cleaned and serviced rooms. Concerns would be that staying on the upper floors with large suitcases is a problem as there is...

Cute little hotel. Make sure you don't have a big and/or heavy suitcase. The staircase is small, no lift. The location is unbeatable. Royal opera and Covent Garden are just steps away. Get off Holborn station.

This hotel is great for the location and is comfortable enough but lacks any finesse. I did not like having to walk down several steps to go to my bathroom and I found the shower very poor with water coming out in a small stream. It was also very slippery in the shower and had no handle to hold onto....

Great hotel ... no food served but our room was lovely ... no lift but only two flights of stairs.... right in the middle of everything in the west end so no need for food ..... lovely reception staff too .... highly recommend

We booked the Fielding Hotel for one night over the May bank holiday weekend, paying £117. The hotel is located just a stones throw from Covent Garden tube stop, and close to all the West End theaters. Situated on a quiet side street there's very little traffic noise which in such a busy location is a big positive. We arrived...

Good alternative to hotels from the big global chains. Excellent location for Covent Garden, Holborn, Theatreland and LSE with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Small hotel with a friendly reception. I don't think they have a lift, so it may not be suitable for all, as you have to carry your luggage up steep, narrow stairs. Room was small...

We had the family room but still bit cramp, old style building..the bathroom is newly renovated and has this shower which look so interesting, it has the shower head that shaped like a telephone. Staff are okey, they helped us carry our luggage as we are assigned in the 2nd floor of the hotel..no lift..just stairs with small steps..not good...

Staying in Covent Garden

Neighbourhood Profile
Covent Garden
Whether you're headed here to check out the multitude of shops, theaters, cafes, pubs, and restaurants, or simply to be among the multitude of people who pass through this pretty part of town, you'll love soaking up the festive and historic atmosphere in and around Covent Garden. Even if you don't have tickets to the opera or a show at one of the many famous theaters here, don't be surprised if find yourself captivated by some impromptu act of a street performer wowing the crowds in Covent Garden's Piazza. If you do have tickets, you'll be pleased to note that many of the local eateries accommodate theatergoers with prix fixe menus, early dinners, and later than usual opening hours.
