I suppose perspective is everything but I do find it very hard to understand how La Gaffe attracts such rave reviews. It is perfectly OK for a short stay and I'm not going to say anything that hasn't been said already but if this hotel...More

Hampstead is a great location, but our room was on the main road so there was a lot of noise, although the windows did keep a lot of it out and earplugs are provided. The room was very small but clean and comfortable.More

Thank you for your review. And thank you for noticing that although we cannot do anything about the traffic we try to mitigate what is a nuisance to some of our guests in the front rooms by providing double glazed windows and earplugs if that...More
Like in many other big cities, in London, most family-blessed tourists' perennial aspiration is to find accommodations in a neighborhood as quite as possible, but as close to the city center as possible. That's La Gaffe with just a 3-4-minute walk from Hamstead station, from...More
We stayed for 2 nights recently and enjoyable.
We wanted to be away from the main smoke and chose Hampstead.
We were warmly welcomed and the chap who was the son of the old owner was very pleasant and friendly.

Smiling faces, wonderful food. An oasis from the city life. Easy to get to and from London proper. Hampstead is quaint and has it own unique qualities to explore. Will always stay here when in London.
Thank you Lorenzo!

Thank you for your query. The easiest way is by underground. This is the fastest and most direct way to Hampstead. We are on the Northern line which is easily accesible from most parts of central London (Leicester Square, Charing Cross, Waterloo for example) Make sure you take an Edgware bound train heading north and you will arrive directly to Hampstead. We are roughly a four minute walk from the underground station. Journey time from central London is approximately 15-20 minutes. I hope this helps! Bye, Lorenzo.
