I stayed in this hostal a week..The position is VERY good, but not the rooms. I had a lot of travel often in a hostel and in London are the worst, especially this one. Dirty, and the worst thing was the bad smell.. I can't advice this hostel, but if you are brave it's ok. Bye

This hostel is a perfectly good place to come back to after a long day and sleep. Staff is friendly, location is safe and pretty convenient. The building is definitely old - not sure some of the stairs would pass a safety inspection - but the bedrooms are comfortable enough, probably on the small side though; sink in the bedroom...

Hey thank you for your feedback! Every problem you have identified has now been fixed! We bought the most powerful Reuters available and an extra line to help cope with the demand and the internet is flying and super stable! We had a look at the cages and oiled them up and are now moving smooth as eggs! We have...

I stayed in this place for 2 weeks. The location is really amazing, right in front of the british museum and close to 2 tube stations, and the staff is very nice. The common areas are a little small, but always very clean. Showers are good, and there are a lot of them. They also have great activities every night,...

Hey thank you for your feedback! We are super happy you enjoyed your time with us! Our location cannot be beaten! Right next to one of the most iconic museums in the world (Sleeping 200 mts from the Rosseta Stone!). Although we had a few very hot days in September, aircon is a rarity to need in London. However, now...

This hostel was in a perfect location, right by SoHo and Covent Garden. We had a private twin which was a very nice room, including towels and a kettle. Wifi didn't always work but the charity breakfast was a nice addition but very small. And i felt it would be rude to bring your own breakfast into the kitchen so...

Thank you very much for the room tips and your excellent feedback! We are glad you enjoyed your stay at the room on Little Russell, it is a very nice quiet street and we think our guests enjoy a good night's sleep at a lower price ;) We do indeed offer a charity breakfast and thank you for being so...

Staff is very nice. Location is one of the best in London, near Russell Square, holborn station and the British Museum. There are no lifts, so don't take a heavy or large suitcase. Very clean. There is a good one pound breakfast every morning.

Hey thanks for your kind words! Being so central you probably wont even use the Underground, but if you do we have the two best lines in London a stones throw away! Bring as heavy a bags as you like and one of our family is always happy to give you a hand carrying them up the stairs! Also the...

It's a sort of a big hostel with a really friendly vibe! The staff is really nice and they like to spend time with the guests. Just remember not to leave your id in exchange of a padlock if you're going for a pub crawl ;) There's also some "full-timers" who live in the hostel and work somewhere else, but...

Staff is super friendly and helpful- got a discount on my first meal in town thanks to them! Official Description (provided by the hotel)
One of the oldest low budget hotels in London, the Museum has been helping weary backpackers and travellers loosen up since 1977! The location of this hostel makes it one of the best value hostels in London central. Right in front of the British Museum guests can access Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden and Leicester Square in just 10 minutes. Definitely the best central London hostel.A cosy budget hostel split across two buildings near Russell Square, this low cost hotel doesn't feel much like it. With a recently renovated kitchen, new reception and revamped lounge. There are dozens of sights located so close to the hostel, and is best hostel to visit as much of London as you can take in! Otherwise stay indoors with your fellow residents and enjoy a good time in the kitchen or if weather permits on our small terrace. ... more   less
