Excellent experience at the Goring. We had heard so much about the service - and we were not disappointed. Friendly, fun check-in. No fuss experience in the comfortable bar before dinner. Fantastic dinner and breakfast in the Michelin one-star restaurant. Staff knew our names (even though we were only there for a quick one-night stay). We will be back.

An excellent evening dining at The Goring courtesy of Bookatable, 3 courses and a glass of Champagne for £49 per head. We were extremely impressed with the whole experience finding the setting, food, wine and service all a very high standard.

Stayed at the Goring many times over the last 10 years or so and the quality of the rooms and convenience of the location make it a great base for business and family fun. The housekeeping and room service staff are awesome as are the bell man and staff. If you don't look completely upper-crust, you can feel a bit...

Just returned from a 5 night stay at The Goring. The hotel itself is very charming and in a wonderful location, but the service is truly outstanding. Rarely have I stayed at a hotel where each and every emplyee encountered was so accommodating and friendly. The Concierge, Patrick, assisted us in so many ways. He was a wealth of knowledge...

We have just had the pleasure of a night at The Goring. Such a fantastic experience from start to finish. We booked a queen room and had a surprise upgrade on check in, very nice and there was a bottle of Champagne waiting for us as it was our wedding anniversary and this was a gift from the hotel, wow!...

Great place to spend time, relaxed yet attentive. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. Reception staff were very good as was the Concierge making parking simple although chargeable. Bar and restaurant had an excellent atmosphere. Breakfast however was poor with a long delay for the main course and when it arrived it was almost cold. Very surprised at this significant...

We were treated like royalty at the Goring, from the moment we arrived, weary from our subway journey and lugging our bags down the street. The doormen (dressed in tails and bowler hats) rushed down the steps to relieve us of our burdensome luggage. We were then introduced to our host who checked us in and personally escorted us to...

From the minute you are greeted by the doorman to the minute you leave, the staff is the best I've ever encountered. The staff is very attentive but not smothering. They make you feel like part of their family. A great place to truly relax and unwind! High class and luxurious!!!

Two separate short stays (2013 and 2016). We loved both (in particular the complimentary upgrade on the first visit). Typically understated with prompt and friendly service. The rooms were well appointed. The only negative was the room service food: £16 for an out-of-the-can hotdog was borderline, but we can forgive that given the general experience.

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
