Stayed here in December, 2017. Small, family run hotel, 16 rooms. Walk up a flight or two to your room. Very fairly priced. Excellent breakfast included. Quiet street in Bloomsbury, about three minute walk to British Museum. Your perfect location to explore London. Friendly owners...More
The boreal was very easy to find and has a number of restaurants nearby. The room was small but clean and tidy. The room was nicely warm and well decorated. The breakfast was simple but adequate and there was plenty to choose from.
This is the second time we’ve stayed; it’s comfortable and friendly...and very good value for its position so close to the British Museum. Breakfast (excellent and cooked fresh for you) is included and the owners Richard and Lynwen are lovely people who look after their...More

Had room on 3rd floor facing Bedford Place. Easy 5 - 10 minute walk from Russell Square tube station. Room and bathroom were clean, bed comfortable. With window open, street noise not noticeable. Top floor, as noted by others, was squeaky. Could hear some talking...More

I stayed at the Thanet Hotel for 3 weeks in July. It was a wonderful place: the location is excellent...only a 5-minute walk from Russell Square and the British Museum. Located on (for London!) a quiet street, the hotel was still close to restaurants, post...More

Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and

Hey Julie, This was our first time to London. So we did the usual tourist stuff during the day and relaxed during the evening time. Our daughter was there for 3 months studying abroad, so we let her show us around. Like John said there are plenty of places to eat. We like the Night and Day restaurant around the corner. If you have time, take a bus or walk to Honest Burger just a mile or so away. It was great food. The city mapper app is awesome and I highly recommend it. It will let you know how long it will take to walk, tub, or bus to any location in London. We used it every day.
