I was booked at a different, nearby hotel, and had informed them I'd be checking in quite late. I arrived about ten thirty pm, was greeted with a fancy little juice beverage and the news that my booking had been transferred to an affiliated hotel across the street due to plumbing problems. There were a pair of other ladies, sipping...

REALLY friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable room and delightful historical communal parts to the hotel. This was a lovely place to stay. Located just moments from Queensway tube it is also very easy to get into the city and you have the park on the doorstep. I'm sure to be back regularly.

The duty manager Luanne really went the extra mile with making our trip special and one which we will remember always. A massive thank you to her and her team. The suite was utterly beautiful. Like something from a fairy tale. The hotel is highly recommended. It has real character unlike so many London hotels.

We recently stayed for a couple of nights in this delightful hotel and what a contrast to the characterless, chain hotels you see everywhere these days. Like other reviewers, my only negative comment was the fact that the bedroom was so small that there was no space for a chair let alone a table. Also, as this was a Deluxe...

I stayed at this hotel twice during my trip. I was there with my daughter for a couple of nights upon arriving in London, then back by myself for a night before my flight home. The service is top notch. Everyone was friendly, helpful and concerned with our comfort. The lobby is gorgeous. The rooms are small, but that is...

As is mentioned in other reviews, the bedrooms in this hotel are quite small but they are fully equipped and to be honest, with all London to visit, who spends much time awake in their hotel bedroom! The Hotel is located opposite Kensington Gardens , near to a tube station and easy waking distance to Portobello Road area. The staff...

The rooms maybe small, but in such a beautiful historical part of London, it was no issue for me. Service was amazing. Room was clean and comfortable(yes it was small). Breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning. Well worth the fee. The very best attribute to this stay was the "Handy" traveler each room is given. Basically a smart phone...

Compared to the other 4 star hotels in this area this was by far the cheapest so we were a little sceptical. We weren't disappointed. Beautiful hotel, great location and extremely helpful staff. After arriving a little frazzled from the journey down from Derby we were informed our reservation had been cancelled due to an error with our card, we'd...

This is without a doubt the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in whilst in London. I had to make an emergency trip for a memorial and I was looking for something for only 4 nights. I came across the price for Grand Royale London Hyde Park and thought it would fit into my budget. I only needed a single room...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
