The Good:- No. 1 is location followed by modern refurbished room and bathroom (with good shower). The Bad:- No breakfast despite website saying breakfast, cleaners forgot to clean room on first day, receptionist not interested in being there.

We stayed for a 3 night city break. Our delux double room was on the third floor overlooking the street. Despite old fashioned wooden sash windows with gaps it wasn't too noisy. The room was very warm so we did open the window during the day. The room size was adequate although we only had hand baggage.

The biggest disappointment was we believed we had paid for breakfast only to find the hotel had not been serving breakfast for about a year. There's not many good cafes that do breakfast in the immediate area. We found

Some parts of the hotel were tatty. There was a fridge in the room but it didn't seem to be working properly.

On the plus side, the shower cubicle was modern with decent water pressure which many English hotels don't seem to have. The bed was comfortable. The television worked. Thankfully there was laminate flooring and not carpets in the room - the carpets in reception were very tatty.

Overall the negatives didn't ruin our stay but was rather annoying and we probably would try somewhere else next time. First impressions count!

The hotel is in a great location between Paddington and Lancaster Gate stations.
When we checked in we were told our room had been upgraded which we thought brilliant, however it was in the basement next to the staff entrance so very noisy even during the night, it was also right below reception so again late into the night we could hear walking
about. We had booked B and B but We weren’t told that breakfast was being served, we only found this out on the first morning when we got up to get it and the breakfast room was closed, we managed to find a member of staff who said that breakfasts weren’t being done for a few weeks. There was no apology or offer to refund us some money, so we had the added stress and expense of having to find places which did breakfast. Hindsight is a wonderful thing & yes may be we should of said about the noise (room not being suitable) and being slightly peeved at not having breakfast.
It’s an ok place to stay if you just want somewhere to put your head, it’s clean tidy and well presented and you get what you pay for.

Good hotel near London city centre. A fine breakfast is provided, although no fresh bakery or bread is included. The rooms are confortable, although some have no window. The staff is excellent and always ready to help you out.

First, the bad points: When we got there, we were let into a room that had not been made up, and the previous occupants had left it in a bad state, however we told the front desk and they got it sorted while we were out, and it was a lot better by the time we got back (although under the beds was still absolutely full of dust). The cleaner took our chargers thinking they belonged to the previous occupants, but this was sorted quickly. The automatic cut off on the kettle didn’t work, although we didn’t tell them it wasn’t working until we left.

Now the good points: The beds were comfy, the shower was good, and the price was very reasonable. The hotel is really nicely located for events in Hyde Park, and although the hotel doesn’t serve breakfast, there are some nice reasonably priced cafe’s nearby. I have seen some other reviews saying the staff are rude, but I think they were fine, one of them had a slightly abrupt tone in the way he spoke, but that was just the way he is, I certainly did not think he was being rude at all.

All in all, you get what you pay for, but this place is not as bad as some of the reviews say, it’s great for people attending any of the BST concerts in Hyde Park, and I would not hesitate to use them again.

Our travel agent booked this hotel for the 2 days we were in London before our UK tour started. It is conveniently located close to the Paddington Underground Station, with many shops and small restaurants nearby. It's one of many small hotels in the area.

Upon arrival, there was no one at the front desk, we and others waited 10 minutes before anyone showed up. The tiny lobby obviously had not been attended to in some time, with worn and broken fixtures. While we were expecting the typically smaller European hotel room, ours had absolutely no room to move around in once 2 pieces of luggage were placed. And this was just with a double bed. Everything looked worn and dirty. I went to use the restroom and accidently touched the towel warmer behind the toilet. It was scalding hot. As the knob on the towel warmer didn't work, I asked at the desk how to turn it off and was informed by a surly man that the unmarked switch was outside the bathroom above the door. The room was ill supplied with minimal supplies and one cup. And our view was of trash. We quickly decided to find other accommodations.

Within 2 hours, we told the man at the front desk we were checking out as this wasn't what we expected. His only response was dismissive, not asking for our room number or the specifics. This was prepaid, so we knew we weren't entitled to a refund. This hotel was so bad my normally cost-conscious husband gladly forfeited our two paid nights to move to much better accommodations 2 blocks away.

It was terrible, filthy dirty, no breakfast after we had paid for it, was told they haven't served breakfast for over a year.
House keeping was helpful and pleasant but the reception staff were really unhelpful.
There were a few people complaining about different things whilst we were there and no-one wanted to help.
The only good thing about this hotel was the location but there are a lot of other hotels close by that looked amazing.
I would never stay here again and would advise anyone to give it a wide birth.

So disgusting and dirty. My daughter told me the bed smelled of old armpit (b.o) and she wasn't wrong. There was scum all around the bath overflow and in the corners. The beds looked like monsters had been scratching all around the bottom. I made the mistake of looking at the mattresses underneath the sheet. We then checked out.

The TV didn't work but the Aircon was okay. People are clearly paying for the location even though the reviews reflect it's terrible condition. The guy at reception was friendly but I could tell he was resigned to how bad this place is. The only way they will fix it is if people stay clear.

I have stayed at this hotel in the past and always had a pleasant stay, however on my most recent visit I arrived at the hotel to find no running water - no shower, no taps and I couldn't even flush the toilet. I have tried to contact the hotel on numerous occasions to discuss this and ask for a refund however, unsurprisingly, no one seems in a hurry to get back to me. Running water is a basic need that any hotel should supply, and not even to offer a refund or partial refund is pretty shocking. I feel this is the only way I am going to be able to get any response, so I would advise others not to stay at a hotel that won't offer their guests any money back on a stay where they can't even use their own toilet!

I wouldn’t describe this place as a hotel. We have stayed and similar places in near Sussex Gardens and had real good experiences this place however is a nightmare. The bedrooms sorry the broom cupboard we stayed in was cramped (bed against the side wall) you could not move around the room as it was ridiculously small. We payed £140 for the privilege with no breakfast and to be honest we felt totally ripped off. Save your money guys check out other hotels in the area but don’t stay in this one. You have been warned

I would like to make a serious complaint with reference to this hotel. On arrival I was allocated a single room and my two daughters a double.

My daughter’s room was absolutely disgusting - the bed sheets had stains on them. The mattress sheet was stained also. Their shower had hairs all over it the floor of it. One of the towels had hair also stuck to it.
I immediately went to reception where a guy apologised and said the complaints would be addressed. My room was almost similar except for the towels.

We went out on the Friday expecting this to be sorted on our return. No it wasn’t.
The girls hardly slept all nite due to loud noises from adjacent rooms and above them.

I also had a sleepless nite on Saturday due to very loud noise directly above me and from 6am whether it was cleaners I’m not sure.

We checked out and I advised again the girl at the reception desk and she apologised and said she would speak to whoever is responsible. A very weak excuse and I’m now en route home with two daughters exhausted and very deflated that this has happened.

I would seriously like a full refund as these issues should not happen in this day and the fact nothing was done about it makes me very angry.
