My wife and I stayed at this swanky, typically English hotel that made us feel we were in a royal place. The accommodations were first class ++. Pricy tho at £300++ per night. Great location to Piccadilly Circus and 5 min walks to the nearest underground and bus stops. If you want a grand taste of England and go away...

Nice little hotel in a great location in Mayfair area. Very easy to get around using the tube, taxis or walking. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice but, rather small even by London standards. If you prefer a small hotel, this is a good one for the price.

Dear JLH332015, Thank you for finding the time to leave your review. St. James’s Hotel and Club with is 60 rooms and suites truly represents an exception compared to some big hotels in the area, we are a real hidden gem in a quiet cul-de-sac and our facilities reflects the capacity of the hotel, which is smaller compared to large...

This little gem is the one I always recommend to people I know. In fact I ´ve been to London a million times but this experience was the best! I stayed here with my boyfriend for 2 nights. The hotel is super well located but discrete in the area of Mayfair. The staff very friendly and we got an upgrade...

Had a hen party here in the Library and the service was just terrible. The waitress we had was very rude to my guests, which they complained about. As soon as time was up I was told we had to get out, despite their being no one after us in the Library room. We went up to reception and they...

We found the staff friendly, helpful and knew the their job well. All we came to meet were great and added to the experience and stay. Food - Dinner amazing - great wow factor and we found bar and eatery great for breakfast and late snacks. The Hotel was just what we hoped for and I guess expected. Room smallish...

Great location and attentive staff, loved the bar and the passion of the bar personnel, restaurant is world class. The rooms are clean and very good but a bit on the small side, nice to have mini bar and water in the rooms, often overlooked these days, no tea/coffee facilities in the room though.

My wife and I stayed here for 7 nights on business. Staff were friendly but it does not live up to its 5 star rating - they were busier chatting to one another than opening the door for you. There is an additional 14-15 GBP 'service' fee per night for the room. If you eat/drink at the hotel a 12.5%...

In October, we hosted a dinner at the St. James Club (located in the St. James Hotel & Club), and from the moment that we, and our guests entered, we wanted for nothing. The room is lovely, with an "old world charm," but very functional, and inviting. Though occupying a large table, the service was excellent, as was the food....

A very quiet, comfortable converted gentleman's club on dead-ended Park Place with clean, updated furnishings and a comfortable "old school" look and feel. I had a fourth floor room that was very quiet, with no guest or outside traffic noise. Large flat screen TV with limited channel choices and a very comfortable bed. Air conditioning/heating was quiet and worked well....

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
