The location of this place is easy to find from Bank tube station. Even with a bars located directly beneath it's tucked away enough not to be spoilt by passing traffic noise. On stayed one night but would consider here for a weekender when you are spending all your time in town.

Good location, helpful staff, well managed. But the bathroom was not so good. The sink was tiny and the tap pressure powerful. Result: water everywhere. Shower good once adjusted but not easy to get there. Some unpleasant smells. No floor mat.

For what we have paid I would at least expect clean sheets and carpets. Although hotel's location is great, in the heart of the City of London, I found this hotel very tired looking. Upon approaching the hotel we were greeted by a running rat which didn't give a nice first impression. Since we made the booking on-line only 30...

Stayed here for one night on a business trip to London. It is deceptively located in a small alleyway but is very close to the Bank station. And is also close to St. Paul's and Monument. The room itself was clean and spacious but didn't like the noise from the air-conditioning unit. I'm a light sleeper and this noise kept...

This is a great travelodge for the centre of London! Right beside bank tube station so easy access for getting around the city. The room was a good size and clean. Staff were great we could leave our luggage there once we checked out and collect it anytime!

One of my key requirements for a hotel stay is getting a good, peaceful night's sleep. And therein is the problem with this hotel. Location is good, 4 mins walk from the Tube stop. Staff are lovely - they do their best to be helpful and tried to find me a room that was quiet. First room allocated has a...

The hotel is situated down an alley between Cannon Street Station and Bank. The area is quiet on a weekend and a lot of places are shut, but it is still a nice area to have a walk around. St Pauls Cathedral is close by and the tube is very close, so it is very easy to get around. The...

I book into this hotel on a regular basis as it is very central for my needs. Single ladies don't worry that it's up a wee lane it's not an issue. Staff are extremely friendly, polite and accommodating and are a credit to Travelodge plc. 2 minutes from Canon St Station and a 5 minute walk to St Paul's Cathedral....

A group of colleagues visited London and we stayed here. What a great location for seeing London. Near to all major banks within the City, near to St Pauls. Clean and rooms well proportioned for the very centre of a city! Only thing I would say, don't bother with the breakfast box as you can get breakfast nearby!

Exactly what you would expect from a Travelodge, cheap but clean and basic. Room was very small but adequate as all I needed was a place to sleep, it was just an overnight stay after a late dinner. Room was clean and comfortable. There are building works nearby but these had finished before 6pm and had not begun when I...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
