Stayed here for a night on business in April 2016. The main selling point for this hotel is the amazing location. You're just a short stumble from Bank, the tube and all the activity the City has to offer. The downside? A budget hotel in this kind of location inevitably has a few compromises. The hotels quite tucked away down...

I was once a director of a well known retail company and am very aware of 'customer service' at shops, restaurants ,hotels etc. I can honestly say that the customer service given by the girls on reception is absolutely brilliant. We were greeted by a girl with very blonde hair whose name is I think Anna and she was very friendly...

Tucked away just 2 mins walk from Bank underground and numerous bus routes, the Travelodge at Bank is a great base for a London visit. Whilst there is a lot of building going on around the hotel, it did not cause any problem as we just needed a bed for the night. The bed was extremely comfortable, the room small,...

Clean, tidy and friendly service. Simple and efficient. If you need a conveniently located inexpensive hotel in the City this ticks that box. Although there are building works on an adjacent site this has never caused me any disturbance. The staff are friendly and efficient.

The best travel lodge, central location easy to find with tube stations a few meters away. Great staff always happy to help, and nothing is to much, the rooms are comfortable, there was building work around the area which we was told about when we checked in, which did not disturb us.

The location of this place is easy to find from Bank tube station. Even with a bars located directly beneath it's tucked away enough not to be spoilt by passing traffic noise. On stayed one night but would consider here for a weekender when you are spending all your time in town.

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
