We stayed one night in transit through London. The hotel is not close to any of the main hub railway stations for Gatwick or Heathrow and is a bit of a walk to the nearest tube station. There is a supermarket nearby so able to get our own food. It is in a nice area but the rooms are only...

Overnight layovers aren't exactly the peachiest part of traveling--however--if you can find a good place to lay your head, you'll be just fine. I booked my stay at this hotel hours after I landed in London and eh I got to there I was greeted by friendly staff who promptly checked me in. My stay was quiet and comfortable. I...

This hotel is near to Gloucester Road tube station which is about 10-15 minute walk. It is a reasonable hotel but is in need of some refurbishment to modernise. The lift is very small and doesn't reach all floors (6th floor had to be accessed by walking up the stairs from 5th floor). The bathrooms are small and are not...

The hotel is located 6 minutes walk away from Earl's Court Station. I would not rate this hotel as 4 stars but a high level 3 star. The standard room was very small and the bed very uncomfortable. The staff were nice and very helpful. Booking.com states that the standard room has a mini bar and provides bathrobes. This was...

A good stay, in a great location. A well ran hotel. Great breakfast. The walls are a bit thin, but I will stay again. Good pubs and restaurants down by Earls Court tube station. Good bus routes to Knightsbridge shops e.g. Harrods

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
