CQ is a good value hotel in the heart of London next to St Pauls. Pros - AMAZING LOCATION, Free bottles and filtered water on every floor, Comfortable beds, Cote Brasserie attached to hotel for food/drinks, free wi-fi and lounge with printer, teas and coffees in room and in lounge, 24 hours on reception and very helpful. Cons - smallish...

I was attending a professional event near St Paul's on Saturday, and decided to stay at this nearby hotel the previous night. It was a great decision. This is a great value hotel in an amazing location a stone's throw from St Paul's Cathedral. Friendly staff, clean rooms, free Wi-Fi, and a comfy "Club Living Room" with workstations and a...

The staff at this hotel is truly great. Pleasant and eager to serve the guests. That helps because the rooms are somewhat small and fail some regularities like a safe. The rooms are neat though. There's not a lounge or something to pass time. So just to sleep it is a good place to stay.

What a great hotel. In the heart of London, with a Hop On Hop Off bus stop right outside the door. This was a clean upscale hotel. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. In addition to having a great room with free WiFi, there were a number of other amenities free to use. The common room on the main...

We stayed just for a night to attend an event at St Paul's Cathedral and were really pleased with the location which is ideal for exploring London east of centre with easy access to the South Bank on foot. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. As an example at breakfast I was looking at the self service table from...

I stayed here last Saturday night and it was fine. Check in was uneventful, I got upgraded to a huge king bed in room 414. Very, very comfy. The room is well equipped with all the comms, power, TV, tea, coffee and water you could want. Nice shower room with easy control shower (why can't more hotels make it simple)...

Stayed at this hotel for four nights and enjoyed our stay. Expensive but then that's London prices. The hotel was very clean, excellent staff and in a prime location alongside St.Pauls Cathedral. We had a one bedroom apartment which was quite spacious and contained everything that one would need for basic self catering. Although stated suitable for three adults the sofa...

Really fantastic hotel. I was travelling with two children, our room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The kitchenette area was a great bonus with kids. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and we were able to leave our luggage before we checked in, and also after check out as we were not leaving London until late afternoon. The location...

I really hate to give this hotel such a low rating. I used to enjoy and look forward to staying there. However my last two stays have changed that. When I was there in Feb I was in a room and everything was cool. Then I had to check out to take a side trip to Cardiff. When I came...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
