Brilliant for kids because of the lovely people who work there. The staff could not have been nicer. Cheila and Derek in particular were exceptionally kind to our over excited children! Though not the prettiest area, the location is really handy for the Tube, and for child free people it looked like there were loads of cool hipsters places to...

My boyfriend and I stayed in this great hotel in Old Street for one night. It's unbelievable value for such a centrally located, comfortable hotel. The service is brilliant. Upon arrival we had been allocated a room on the 9th floor. When I asked if there was anything available on a lower floor due to my lift phobia, we were...

This hotel is ideal for travelling to tourist hotspots. Typical premier inn. We just had a bad breakfast experience. Short on staff and a bad layout. Thank god for a young staff member called Alla, she ran around doing everything whilst some others didnt seem to cope. She was a credit to premier inn

Great room with stunning views of the city if you get a room on the right side of the hotel. Good location for getting into the city and eating out in Shoerditch etc. One of the best cooked breakfasts I've had in any hotel, including expensive ones. Very good staff. This is an outstanding example of how a Premier inn...

We stayed in this hotel, in a family room, for along weekend and for the price you pay, in this location, you can't beat this hotel. The rooms are lovely and clean, it is a 2 minute walk to old Street tube and from there its really easy to get around. I would suggest not booking the breakfast in advance,...

I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at the Premier Inn. The breakfast was excellent, the staff were kind, attentive, and cordial, and the proximity to the Old Street Tube station and the Bus Stop in front were very convenient. Staying at the Premier Inn made my first visit to London memorable. Thank you!

If you are looking for a hotel in a great location for links to the city this is perfect but beware the food was shocking and the service wasn't what I normally expect from premier inn. The quality of the food provided was shocking. I have stayed at many premier inns around the country including the one we stayed (Old...

Staying in Shoreditch

Neighbourhood Profile
The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be it art, food, or fashion. With its handful of well connected transportation links dotting its perimeter, along with an ever increasing variety of shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighbourhood. There's a lingering post-industrial grit about Shoreditch, but because it shares a border with “The City” financial district, the influence from its upscale neighbour can result in fascinating outcomes.
