Booked a quadruple room for 3 nights inclusive of continental breakfast at this hotel. Upon checking in, we were taken down the street to another hotel called Alexander Hotel where we had to climb six flights of stairs up a narrow staircase with heavy suitcases to a tiny room in the attic. The room was cramped, smelly and dirty and...

Perfect place to stay in central London, near shops and tourist attractions. Staff were helpful and friendly, they helped us carry our heavy luggage up to the top floor. Room was warm and had TV, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Bathroom was clean. Breakfast was nice. Great all round for a great price.

Tiny room, chewing gum on the carpet, duvet cover that did not look clean, radiator that didn't work, freezing cold water in the bathroom. On top of that it backs onto a platform in one of the busiest train stations in the country with trains arriving under the bedroom window. There is no price cheap enough to make this hotel...

The Staff of the Holly House Hotel was nice and easy when we had to delay/change our stay in London for one day. The room was very tiny, but clean and we liked it ibecause it is a a real 3 min. walk from Victoria Station where we arrived with the Gatwick Express. The breakfast was simple but absolutely ok,...

Me and my (pregnant) wife ordered a room in the holly hotel. We got there and the place looked terrible. The rooms were small, old, dirty and the whole place had a very wierd smell. After less than 10 minutes my wife ran outside and vomitted. The hotel keeper refused to give me a refund after we decided to leave, wich...

Quirky b&b Backing onto Victoria railway line I. Right for us for one night. After a late tennis match we dossed down for nights sleep before spending a morning in London before catching a train home. At 70.00 with small brekkie that was great. We couldn't get a room elsewhere under 150.00. It was friendly, upgraded to ensuite a few...

Excellent location except for the rail trafiic in the backyard. Small room, tiny toilette, shower room or corridors not suited for big people. You have to be tiny and slim! Breakfast and breakfast service below standards, breakfast waiters wearing windbreakers.

Staying in Pimlico

Neighbourhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
