On arriving I was made to pay up front immediately. The staff was impolite and unprofessional with very poor knowledge of English. They took me to my so-called first room, a tiny biscuit box with no bathroom. Water dropped out from the fridge on to the bed (it was completely wet) which I didn't see at first. When I told the...

This property includes several other adjacent buildings and annexes yet is all part of the same enterprise.Make no mistake this is not a hotel but a low end budget bed and breakfast operation and due to its central position (2 mins from airbus and victoria station) would seem the ideal budget location for those spending their time out in London...

I do love this place, genuinely. I stay in one of two hotels when I'm in London. This one if I'm on the train or coach, and one in Chiswick if I have my car ('coz I can park for free...). This one is 4-5 minutes walk from the bus station. And less from the tube, so for connections it's...

Walking up the street in a very nice area a few minutes walk from Victoria Station a typical quaint English street I thought we were in for a great stay. We entered the hotel to be greeted by a Reception area that resembles a cross between a taxi office in a rough neighbourhood in the 70's and a prison visiting...

I arrived from Victoria Station and it was a short 5 minute walk to the Hotel. The Hotel makes you pay on arrival to ensure they have your money before you see the room. We booked an ensuite room which was barely big enough for us both to be in at the same time (and we're not fatties). One person...

Upon paying the ridiculous amount of £65.00 a night (room with ensuite) I was escorted by a rather intimidating Asian man to an adjacent hotel— the Alexander Hotel. Upon I arrival, I was told my room was in the third floor; I had to drag my luggage up three floors through the narrowest and steepest of stairs. The room was...

Nice hotel, superb location concerning price. 5 min walk to Victoria Station, 15 min walk to Buckingham Palace! Stayed in room 45 at Anexxe Hotel (34, Hugh Street) couple doors down Holly House, same owner. Simple breakfast with toast, coffee, milk, all-bran cornflakes, coco pops, butter and some jams gave us the start for the day. It was served in...

After maneuvering around the broken stained bed in the corridor we were shown to our sparse room, which was not en-suite, was roasting and had very poor substandard furniture in it. When I say furniture, I mean two rickety beds, at different levels, with the usual urine colored duvets. I have to say the white undersheets were very clean, very!...

We wanted to find something reasonable in London. First mistake. Not friendly staff. Hauling a suitcase up 4 flights of stairs infront of me (because I could not carry it next to me, the stairs were so narrow) and getting to the door and my husband telling me to go in. I told him I was in! The room had...

Staying in Pimlico

Neighbourhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
