This Hotel is the worst Travelodge we have ever stayed in.The furniture in the room looked completely worn out. The water was only hot in the bathroom no cold. The tap on the sink was corroded and dirty. The corridors looks tatty with the skirting and doors all very tired looking. Some Travelodges have been completely refurbished this one should high...

This hotel is simple and basic (maintenance of the rooms needs to be improved or refurbished: desk and wardrobes look a bit tatty...) but comfortable and clean. Staff are nice and helpful. Very good breakfast !

Great Location....And there ends the good news i'm afraid. In the interest of fairness i should say that we didn't use the bar or restaurant so can't comment on these areas, although the food did look good. We stayed in Rm521- Hopefully others are much better. Unfortunately we had to check in and get out to meet friends in 20minutes...

If you're in London and you want to be near a major transport hub, staying anywhere near Kings Cross St. Pancras station will do you a huge favor. You can catch most major underground lines there and can connect to other ones at stations not too far away. That was the logic behind our decision. This particular hotel was about...

Was scared off by previous reviews and wanted to cancel. Since the room rate I booked was Saver rate so I need to give it ago. It's good value for money compared with the price for rooms in London. It's located within walking distance to King's Cross. The room was fine and good shower. One bad bit was the fire...

Firstly staff on reception were rude and very unprofessional. Booked our family break nearly a year ago and to save a little money we only had one early room, the rest we were going to sort out later when we came back to the hotel. 1st problem was when we arrived we were given a room only to find the...

I will never book a room at the Royal Scotland Travelodge again. Our early check in room was not ready: the key card would not open the door to our room when we went to drop off our luggage - meaning we had to take a trip down to reception with all of our bags to reset the card- with...

Didn't have high expectations for the place for the price, but the absolute state of the place was ridiculous, ceiling leaking outside our door and tiny beds with horrible furniture. The staff were extremely rude when we tried checking in. Everything in the place must have been about twenty years old due to how bad, out of date and worn...

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighbourhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
