Unwelcoming. Had to ask where my room was and then was given incorrect directions. Grotty little room in dire need of a refit. No facilities. Constant water trickling all night from the toilet cistern that is faulty. Got woken up at 6 by what I can only assume was some sort of washing machine, shaking the whole room next to...

Absolutely terrible. stayed in a basement in this 'hotel', tiny room. the carpet was disgusting, stains, ripped up and hairs. the bed had a massive stain on it, and also smelt like Urine. I Looked at other reviews and they say look out for cockroachs..... when i woke up, i went to the bathroom and they were everywhere. This was...

Having read the reviews of the hotel AFTER booking, I was quite concerned about what I was getting myself into. Expecting the absolute worst, I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived there. The staff were very nice and friendly. Even though the room wasn't the biggest, and warm like sauna at times, it didn't take long to get used to...

Stayed here recently and was pleasantly surprised after reading some of the reviews. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming and check in was straightforward. The room wasn't massive but I was there to sleep not to do sequence dancing , the bathroom was fine and spotless and this 6ft elephant could fit in just fine. Breakfast as indicated elsewhere...

The pictures will say it all, if you want to sleep in a dirty bed with cockroaches stay here. If you want a rude hotel manager who is very very very unhelpful stay here. Please please don't even if you are desperate. Fatima the manager refused to give hotel owners name to complain further.

Adequate. Short walk from Bayswater Station, convenient enough for seeing London from. Cheap, small cramped room, very small bathroom, with basically a double wardrobe door to squeeze through. Cheapish hotel for London, don't expect much but somewhere adequate to clean up & sleep. Cramped but clean. Carpet tired & taped up in places, lift & wifi unreliable. Very basic breakfast,...

If you are looking for a budget hotel, Central location, Bed and breakfast and Wifi, then this is the best. The hotel is situated in a square among hostels and other hotels. It is 5 minutes walk from the Tube station, Restaurants and shops. The staff are always helpful and friendly, although the quality of the rooms can vary from...

A very nice hotel which is located in a pretty fancy neighborhood. It's not very cheap, but it has clean, comfortable( but small) rooms. The breakfast is a bit small with not much to choose out of but it's good enough. The personal is friendly and the location is perfect if you want to travel by metro, which is located...

We stayed here for three nights and we were shocked. The location of the hotel is good. We were going to check in and we were told that the elevator was out order or it wasnt any. Thats ok, we are relative young people able to walk several stairs. We got a room on the top floor and the stairs...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
