When booking it only it said we were able to check in at 11 but on arrival we were told we had to wait till 2 o'clock, we had to leave our bags in a small kitchen and wasn't asked for our names or paper work which was a bit odd. After going out for awhile we headed back to...

We needed a room for just one night near to Kings Cross station. This room was £75 but really not worth it. The sheets and towels were clean but the mattresses were awful. The shower was good and we were provided with soap and shampoo. There was a rusty fridge which we didn't use! The whole place needs redecorating and...

Its a hell hole. It needs closing down. Dirty, bare rooms in desperate need of repair and decorating. One rusty fridge with a TV on top. Rat catchers on the floor by the bed. Floor hasn't seen a brush or mop in years. Pulled back the top sheet and found dirty filthy sheet underneath, bed had not been changed. We...

My wife and I are not fussy we were just looking for an overnight stay as we were catching an early train to Brussels the next day! We only used it to sleep so was adequate especially for the price! Wouldn't stay longer than a night in there though!

Don't be attracted by the price, spend the extra £20 and go somewhere nice!! Only given one star so I could review the dump. Stayed in a room on the top floor, tight and narrow staircase, first floor smelt of wee, second floor smelt of cigarette smoke, top floor STANK of cannabis!! We stayed for two nights and the smell...

Dirty marks on the walls and ceiling, scorch marks on the curtains, stink of cigarette smoke all over the building, missing lightbulbs on the landing so you have to make your way to your room and open the door in the dark, wifi that never worked. We were there for four nights and our room was not cleaned once, toilet-paper...

So basic I felt like going out to buy a tool kit and a parachute in case of fire (the stairs would probably fall off the wall if more than one person was on them). Can understand the lack of lampshades, only gather dust - but the lack of light bulbs? Going up the road to the Meridiana next time.

This was scary regarding health and safety issues such as where was fire escape plan. . 58 stairs to our room. No light on landing. Room barer than a cell block ( and yes I have been in one). The barest of rooms ever in my entire life. No lampshade just a grotty bulb above our heads. Telly plonked 4...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
