Stopped over the weekend first impressions were ok as the welcome was very good, but as soon as you go up the stairs your see the lack of repair, worn and loose carpets odd doors your cannot use, our room was on 2nd floor which was like going through a maze to get too. The room itself was not too... More

Stayed for just the one night for a music event close by. Accommodation is in a residential area couple of minutes walk from the tube. Room basic but quiet as the neighbours over the road have lights out at a set time - HMP Pentonville haha so no issues with noise! Small local bar next door - bar snacks and... More

OK. So 1st impressions when arriving outside was a little daunting because it looked so small and dated. Plus with the building g work going on outside as well really didn't lend it any favours. That said! Our opinions soon changed when we went inside and was greeted by 1 super happy London member of staff. That really made our... More

Reception staffs were friendly. Ideal location and easy access to tube stations. However, the place is let down by old dirty looking carpets and uneven squeaky floor boards. The room was average but the windowsill was full of pigeons droppings. Shower tiles were mouldy. Overall, it was not worth the price.

We booked this hotel as we wanted to be near the Union Chapel for a concert and wanted a budget hotel as we were not really going to be spending much time in it. In this respect the hotel fitted the bill. The location is pretty good, not posh.. But convenient for both tube and overground railway. The entrance and... More

We stayed for one night to attend a concert, so spent minimal time in the room. Good points- • The staff were lovely, the lady on reception couldn't have been more helpful. • The bed was very comfy and I had a great sleep. • Linen was fresh, • Towels were nicely arranged into hearts! • Free Wifi • Included... Staying here has mixed blessings...on the plus side nice room overall but pay more attention to detail...curtains not hung properly and side dresser worn but the rest pretty good. stairs up shows sign of wear and tear and reception small but again ok. Breakfast adequate but could be improved. access to bus services pretty good to Kings cross and beyond.

This hotel is located next to a pub in Caledonian Road, which is noisy most of the time. Double glazing suppresses most of that noise, but there is no air conditioning, so during the summer you have to put up with the noise if you want to be cool. We had to climb 69 steps to our 3rd floor room... More

Chose this hotel as I needed to stay overnight in the Islington area but all the regular chains (e.g. Premier Inn) were booked up. The hotel has a Greek theme that is only manifested in its name and a statue in the reception. That, and a tortuously long walk to my room, were the only unconventional aspects of my stay.... More

Pros - Big room, friendly staff, clean, cheap Cons - The carpets and decor are worn out. Where they have been replaced it looks like it's been done on the cheap. Bigger cons - lights in the stair wells didn't work so was dark carrying suitcases up the stairs. Damp patches in the bedroom. Moldy sealant in the shower. a... More
