Stayed here for one night. Great location but the bed was lumpy and pillows very thin. There is no lift and we were on the top floor. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. The egg was hard, the coffee terrible and toast had little butter with it. Not a lot for your money here!

We stayed in this hotel due to its handy location near South Kensington tube station. Unfortunately the decor is dated & in need of repair as well as re-decoration as the door hinge in our room was broken as were the bathroom floor tiles. There is no dining area so breakfast consisting of tea/coffee, fruit juice and a boiled egg... More

I booked this hotel for the price really! It's just so expensive to stay in London. Although I still wouldn't say this hotel was particularly cheap. I Needed a hotel near a function we were attending. The hotel is right next door to the tube station!! Easy access and plenty of eating places in the vicinity. The hotel... I must... More

I forgot an item in my room when checking out. Called the hotel to report the missing item and all I got was "I can't help you ma'am, call back another time". I showed up in person to collect the item and was told to go back (I live outside London btw) and return some other time because he's busy... More

By looking the website it looks quite nice, but it not the same when you get there. First of all the reception, it is on the first floor and attended by foreigners which not all the time can understand you. Room and corridors are very narrows, almost oppressive. The room 5XX are at highest floor, practically 5 narrows stairs and... More

Overnight last minute booking. Good location stones throw from South Kensington tube station. Rooms small but adequate bed hard but rooms clean. Staff friendly. Breakfast option is boiled egg and toast but is delivered to room. Would stay again for a cheap stay in central London

Oh dear, what a place! Why so bad? If I do pro's & con's to help you decide? Pro's. * Very central to where we were visiting...Royal Albert Hall. Also near a few museums. * Two minute walk from South Kensington tube station. * We slept well, with no noise from other rooms. Con's * Maybe the worst mis-match hotel... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
