What a dreadful place. Someone had previously slept in the bed, waste bin overflowing, Bath covered in black hair. Seriously do not stay here. Did not feel safe sleeping here. Wedged chair against the door.

Was searching for a basic, central hotel in London and came across the Georgian on booking.com. Seeing the photos and the 3-star rating I decided to book a non - refundable double room for 243 euros (3 nights) without really checking any reviews (which is what I usually do), and must admit I was shocked to see the reviews soon...

Stayed at this "hotel" just before Xmas ,would really love to know where they got there pictures from as on arriving it looked like the hotel that Del Boy and Rodney stayed in at margate on the jolly boys outing,we had the wind and rain but not the lighting, just for a laugh I lifted the bed to find the holy...

Despite having read about the bad impression about this hotel, I still booked this hotel because it is the only place where it could accommodate my family of 5 in one room and the location is nearby to major attractions. To my relieved I got a comfortable and acceptable clean room! I stayed there for 11 nights and every day...

We booked this 'hotel' through late rooms as we needed somewhere to stay the night while seeing a friends band play in kings cross. Upon booking the room stated it was a triple and so we expected 3 single beds or a double and a single. Upon arrival the reception was empty and we had to make our way to...

Booked this hotel to stop over with friends after a party. The room was basic as expected, however mouldy, falling apart bath, dirty walls and plug sockets that didn't work to name a few weren't expected. Lady seemed nice enough on check in however seemed to develop an attitude later on. Maybe she needs reminding she's running and business and...

This hotel was booked via Hotels.com. Looking at pictures of rooms through their official site, it looked appropriate for the room price. Upon reaching and checking-in, the reception booth was empty. We had to walk to the basement to their office to register our stay. On first impression looked more of a run-down Bed and Breakfast establishment than a hotel...

As a frequent business traveller who spends North of 200 nights a year in hotels I am well aware that London is not exactly a cheap place to stay - nevertheless I expected at least a clean, quiet and central room for a perceived bargain of GBP114. Well, it was hands down the worst hotel experience I've ever had. And...

When I booked the hotel, I was looking for a cheap family room and that's what we got. I did warn the rest of the family not to expect any luxuries before we arrived. The outside looks inviting enough but the interior is not so good. I'm pleased to say that our room (Room One) was en-suite and is the...

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
