If you're looking for a no frills, low budget accommodation in a good location, this place ideal. Rooms are very basic, but clean and have tea/coffee making facilities and TV. My room also had a good en suite. The down side is that there is no lift so lots of stairs if you are on the upper floors. Please don't...

Value for money is the main selling point for this hotel. Situated less that 2 minutes walk off Oxford Street, it's perfect if you want something walkable from Soho. the Palladium or the 100 Club for a night out. The room (number 15) was basic but clean, however it was directly off the reception area so could get noisy if...

...more specifically, being Tom Hanks character in Big. So if you recall, he hits the big city and bags himself a room in a sleazy, hotel. He's terrified and the room is disgusting. I suspect it probably smelt as bad as the Mermaid Suite too, but of course we don't have Smellovision. God bless the hotel website that quickly found...

Stayed for 2 nights in Feb 2017, only positive is its location, receptionist very unhelpful, stairs are a killer. We stayed in room 12 across the street, very cramped, very noisy and the toilet position is unbelievable, so,hard to use as it was so close to the shower. Breakfast is very basic. We won't use again.

Paid 85 for a nights stay. You have to bear that in mind when reading the reviews. No it's not the best by a long way, the rooms are tired, cramped and noisy, and yes there are a lot of stairs. But it was £85 literally round the corner from Oxford Street. Value for money wise, that has to be...

My husband and I arrived for check in to find long steep stairs leading to reception after carrying one of our large suitcases to the top he was told don't bring the other since your room is not in this building, we checked in and were sent across the street to our building. This building required us to walk up...

The hotel is very basic and simple, a little dated but clean, crisp bed sheets and quiet location. The rooms are a little on the small size but with many of them having the facility to sleep 3 and above people it is good for a budget hotel in London. Not your 5 star luxury but then that is reflected...

When me and my friend arrived at this hotel, we had to climb more than 20 stairs to come to reception. Receptionist was not polite, and we were more than suprised when he told us that we have to go again down the stairs, and then across the street to another building and that our room is on the third...

Pro: This hotel is located a few steps from the intersection of Oxford street and New bond street making its location perfect for shopping when one can just drop by at the hotel for a rest or to drop off bags during a hefty shopping spree. The location is also well served by public transportation, next tube stations are Bond...

Wanted an hotel to use as a bed and breakfast in the heart of Oxford Street while on a shopping visit and that is what I got. It's very clean, tea making facilities, tv, free breakfast, on suite bathroom with shower (a little small), towels and more. We had a nice welcome at the reception after climbing the initial set...

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
