Hotel was locked when i arrived and had to wait some time for someone to open the door. It took 20 mins to find my booking, the room was more like a 1 star boarding house. Ancient lumpy mattress, duvet and pillows. I slept with my clothes on. No elevator, no fire escape, no lobby, very steep unsafe very narrow...

but I was pleasantly surprised. Yes there are a lot of stairs to climb but the room was spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable (I stayed on a busy Saturday night and heard very little noise). There was just metal stairs and another brick building to look at out of the window but at the price I paid and the...

I booked this at short notice, based on the location and at around a 125 one of the cheaper locations. With no great expectations initial impressions were poor. After walking up some narrow steep stairs with heavy bags we were asked for full payment of the bill in advance. After which we were directed to another building up another 6...

I stayed here for convenience rather than travel home after a late night. It was cheap enough, for London. The room was clean and it is in a good location. Having trekked up the stairs to reception, I had to go back down any up another 87 stairs to get to my room through a different door off the street....

The location is really central. The beds were clean and comfy. The bathroom was clean. However the lack of a lift is really annoying. We were on the 3rd floor thankfully (there are 5). The stairs are steep and awkward. The furniture in the room is a bit tatty. The hairdryer blew up when i was using it on the...

Location location location, you will not find a hotel within a mile radius cheaper than here. In the middle of Mayfair, just off Oxford Street ideal for shopping and entertainment. Small minuses, stairs are steep and you have to ask for the tv remote at reception.

5 girls stayed for theatre weekend/shopping - fab location - a minute away from Bond st tube and 5 mins from Oxford circus. Great apartment which was clean and spacious. Lovely shower and separate WC was good. Was surprisingly a really quiet street apart from the dustcart at 0620 hrs!! Breakfast was served in the Italian restaurant opposite and they...

Great location and rather valuable. Very small rooms and terrible stairs. Don´t be old or have any problems with stairs. Don´t even think about fireescape and safety. Could not lock the toilet, no remote for TV, some bulps missing, expensive wi-fi, cleaner knock on the door early (why??) no curtains to make the room dark and a lot of other...

Me and my partner visited this hotel during a weekend away in London. It was very easy to find just off Oxford Street literally a 5-10 min walk from Oxford Circus tube even closer from Bond Street tube. The room itself was very basic but just what you need for an overnight stay in a good location. It wasnt too...

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
