I have stayed at this hotel several times so have stayed in several different rooms. This time, because I had booked the only remaining room, I had a triple room as a single! I have always found this hotel friendly, clean and efficient with an excellent breakfast. It is most convenient for Euston, Kings Cross and St Pancreas stations and... More

My family and I really liked this place. I was a bit small, but not by London standards. When we walked in, we were greeted by a very nice American man at the front desk who knew lots of good tips for us and recommended a delicious fish & chips place. It was the end of July when we stayed... More

The Mentone Hotel is handy for St Pancras/King's Cross stations and Russell Square, located in a pleasant area opposite gardens containing tennis courts. The hotel is in a handsome terrace and seems to be two terraced houses knocked into one. However, on the inside, the hotel is bland and unimaginative. On arrival, the receptionist was brisk and unsmiling, and one... More

Been staying the last 8 nights here at the Mentone Hotel and we've had a fantastic time. We booked a double and we're given a room on the 2nd Floor looking over the back. The room is spacious, clean and quiet. Full English Breakfast in the lower floor was delicious and waitresses were friendly and efficient. We've extended our stay... More

Have stayed many times in the Bloomsbury area and recently at the Euro Hotel in Cartwright Gardens ( see review ) however trip advisor reviews were better at the Mentone. Easy, quick check -in with pleasant greeting. Room adequate for one night. However it was 30 degrees outside in London, and not much better inside and at night. No air... More

We stayed for 3 nights. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is excellent, it sets you up for the rest of the day. The rooms are comfortable and clean, I think that a stay at the Mentone is a good value. Close to 3 underground stations, a variety of good restaurants and pubs. There is a private garden... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and had a great stay. The hotel is in a quiet but central area, close to King's Cross and the underground. Our room was clean and fairly spacious, and I’m happy to say the bathroom had proper mixer taps! We were on the third floor and the last flight of stairs was very steep... More

I stayed for 5 nights at the Mentone. This hotel is in a great location, just blocks from the British Museum in the heart of London but overlooking the park so there was little noise at night. Breakfast was large with good selection for a bed and breakfast.

I stayed in the Mentone Hotel recently and will be very happy to stay there again. The hotel gave me everything I wanted from a central London location. Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
