Oh my, What a horrible place this is! We booked a double room for a few nights and paid 160pounds. We chose for holly house because of the recommandations on the internet but were send to cedar house in the same street. We arrived at midnight and was very pleased to see there was actually someone at the reception. I...

I stayed at this hotel over new Years Eve and booked at late notice. Up a load of flights of stairs and 6 beds crammed into a small room ---------- BUT -- lets let facts be facts. This hotel is in between Pimlico and Victoria, a prime location for everything London offers,,,, and they charge less than 30 quid per...

This hotel is very cheap for central London, we paid only £56 for a double room during the Olympics. The hotel is just around the corner for Victoria Tube station and coach station. The room was very basic and if not a little shabby. It appeared to be clean and had plenty of towels. The stairs up to the room...

Good access to London centre from here, London is expensive for rooms and this was a good option, but not cheap. Room had more beds in than it should have had really and sloped roof, and old-fashioned bedding, but very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful, no English cooked breakfast, but basic continetal breakfast was ok to start the day....

My friend and I stayed here the first week in June 2008. We had 2 twin bed and shared a bathroom with 1-2 other rooms on the top floor. The room we were assigned has a sink, a wardrobe, a mini fridge, hot water maker, dishes, two beds, a nightstand and a TV. I did a lot of researched and...

Never stay at this "hotel", NEITHER AT "IVY HOTEL"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I spent a couple of days in London last May, 2008 and I made a reservation for a single room in Cedar Guest House. It's been, by far, the worst hotel I've ever been. I travel a lot, Cuba, India, Singapore, Scotland, Dubai, Mexico, etc; sometimes economy or high budget, but...

The reviews that i have read so far, do not do this god awful place justice. it has to be the most misrepresented place (could not call this a hotel) on the web. all 3 rooms that we were shown in this and 2 other of their neighbouring hotels were very dated, filthy, smelled of must, and not at all...

My partner and I had arrived London from Aberdeen to attend a conference. We headed for Cedar guest house located on 30 Hugh Street, London. We had a two-night booking for a double en-suite room. The first shocker was that we met the entrance door locked. As we looked around, a haggard-looking Indian approached us and asked us to come...

I am just back from 3 days spent in London at Cedar Guest House. I started to look for a budget hotel from 21st of October and even if I contacted more than 50 facilities, I did not mamage to find the suitable one. Then I received the answer from Cedar; rooms were available and I could book online. I...

Staying in Pimlico

Neighbourhood Profile
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
