This hotel is in a great location, close to the underground, buses and shops. The receptionist at check-in gave us a different room to the one we had booked, because she thought we would like it more. The room was big and clean with great beds. I also really liked the shower. Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely...

Home was perfect, the location was perfect, the room was perfect. I expected more for the breakfast as I say it before. I enjoyed however pay less by indicating the day before I took breakfast at the hotel

Good location for the city and tube. The bedroom was spotless and the staff so friendly and helpful. It was nice to have the Fullers pub below and there was a great vibe in there. I will definitely stay there again It was nice to see such a genuinely happy work force.

Dear G963QWmarting, it is fantastic to hear that the addition of our attached pub, and the vibe within, have gone some way towards making this an enjoyable stay. What has struck me as a key point here is the "genuinely happy work force", something again that makes a huge difference. Thank you for taking the time to write this review...

For London, we had a great sized room and enjoyed our stay. Great location for the city through the day and places like the Tower of London and for St Katherine's dock for an evening meal. We will definitely stay again.

It all feels a a little tired, hence four stars rather than five, although this wouldn't discourage me from staying again. The staff are extremely helpful and genuine willing to help. Clean, quiet room and comfortable. Recommended

Dear MrPickles-101, whilst I am sorry to read that we did not get the full 5*'s based on the age of certain parts of the building, I am overall delighted with this review. It clearly recognises that it is the experience delivered within the building rather than the physical building itself that makes the difference. Thank you for all your...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
