Stayed there from 6 to 11 November in a 2 rooms apartments on the forth floor. i've stayed there a couple of times. The apartment is clean and has comfortable bed and pillow to relax after a long day out . The staff was very helpful. Only thing is the bathroom too small and also they need to be flexible...

4 nights spent on 5th floor corner apartment overlooking the park in a twin 2x king single apartment. Room 508 is a bit of a hike with 4th floor lift then one set of stairs (porters offered to carry luggage). Yes very much a rabbit warren but nice and quiet. Pros: House keeping was excellent. Great insulated rooms no need...

The location is fantastic and for the rate you pay (especially if you book early) then it is a great deal. That said, we were not impressed with our room nor the amenities. We knew we would all be sleeping in one room, but the pictures I viewed (on multiple sites) suggested that the rooms would be of generous size....

Reception lobby and staff are quite welcoming. The Triple Studio we got on the fourth floor (406) was quite cramped for 3 adults and one toddler. It was advertised as a 30sq m room, but it was definitely less than that. The room, kitchen, and bathroom are quite clean. What concerned me was how dirty the carpet was. My daughter...

Our recent stay at the Grand Plaza Serviced Apts in Bayswater confirmed what we have been told by friends who stayed there earlier. Its vicinity to two tube stations, restaurants & major London attractions was a bonus. The place itself is clean and well-maintained, with a friendly service around the clock. We love the hotel restaurant - great Malaysian food!!!

Grand Plaza Serviced Apartments is conveniently located in Bayswater which is great. However, the corridors and apartments are very narrow and claustrophobic. You do get used to it after a while though. Because the serviced apartments is made up of a row of mansion blocks, you have to walk through the corridors and use the lift designated to go to...

Four of us stayed for two nights in a Quadruple Executive Studio - one was a child. The room itself had everything and was very clean. The sofa bed wasn't made when we arrived, a phone call to reception and somebody was up within minutes to make this for us. Hotel is in a nice area of London. The only...

I have checked in twice during my stay in London recently because the apartment is convenient and meeting my requirements. The price is reasonable in the strategic location of London though apartment is pretty small. I have received an excellent service and cooperation from Mr Andrea, the Front desk Manager and Miss Nerea. There is another guy who is very...

Good location but I can't help thinking there is a rort going on here. On arrival at 10pm our "Grand Executive Suite" turned out to be a "Grand Executive Studio" - only part of that to be correct was the studio bit. 4 adults were meant to sleep in 2 double beds not even a metre apart, with a kitchen...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Grand Plaza apartments give you the independence and catering flexibility of your own home together with the comfort and service of a 4* hotel. Think of us as your home, but with cleaning, catering, porters and reception staff thrown in. Serviced apartments are the new direction for the hotel industry. They provide a ready made home rather than a ready made room. Each apartment has its own fully equipped kitchen. You choose whether to enjoy your own home cooking or try the Grand Plaza Breakfast or visit one of the myriad of restaurants within walking distance of the Hotel (or heat up a takeaway!) Grand Plaza is the largest Hotel/Apartment complex in Bayswater. We won the 2009 award for best serviced apartments in London as a result of votes from the readers of Business Destinations Magazine. We accommodate more people each day (tourist, leisure, romantic and business) than any other Serviced Apartment Hotel in the area.We are located in the centre of the West End overlooking the precise type of garden square which Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts climbed into in the Golden Globe nominated film, Notting Hill! We look forward to providing you with a home in central London. ... more   less
