We were in London for a few days, we didn't want to spend much money and we wanted to enjoy mainly outside, so if you are searching for a nice, clean, small and calm hotel for a good money, this is your choice! Really nice people, great breakfasts, we were satisfied!

We spent 3 days at the St. Simeon while attending a seminar. The owner and the receptionist were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is simple and clean. The rooms are small and functional. Everything worked fine. In the price breakfast was included. It is served in the basement of the hotel and you get english or continental breakfast.

Stayed at St Simeon. Nothing spectacular but it was good for 4 of us. Got a room with 4 beds. Ok. Clean enough snd comfortable. It was close to restaurants and reasonably priced. A quick walk to Harrods and Kensington gardens. I would recommend for snyone wanting to stay in this part of London on a budget.

We arrived on Sunday 21/08/16, we were shown to a room in the basement. The room was not big enough for our party. My wife is a wheelchair user, and also our 5 year grandson was with us. We asked for a bigger room. The receptionist assured us we would get one the next day. The next day we were...

I was very pleased to find a reasonably priced room for five (two adults, children ages 14, 11, and 9) in downtown London. We stayed in the family room on the first floor. This room has a loft, which my younger daughters absolutely loved. The loft was great for our children's ages, but you would probably want to keep toddlers...

We had a 5 people room no and maybe not enough room for all our stuff to store.I find it difficult to rate this place, as the host were super friendly and kind, offering us all kinds of free fruits, food and help. But how to explain these friendly people that less is more? You don't need 10 types of...

Stayed here for four nights. Staff and the boss are the kindest people I've ever met, but the room in the ground floor is the worst place to live. Three of us were cramped in a stuffy, filthy and disgusting environment. The beds look like something in the 1960s. After two nights of horrible sleep, we got another room at...

Building was old, so were the rooms and beds, but they were clean. Best value of this hotel is the location near London centre and tube station. Breakfast was enough but were heavy, with no vegetables at all. Fruits were nice extra service and offered all day. We asked room upstairs and got one. On a next day when we...

We came to London to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. This budget hotel was an excellent choice. Clean room, private bathroom and tasty breakfast every morning made this place a good homebase for our daily trips to many attractions in the city. Travelling to and from was easy, both by tube or bus. Staff was very friendly and eager to...

This is a fantastic family run budget hotel in Kensington just five minutes walk away from Gloucester road tube station. The rooms are small but adequate if you are visiting London for sightseeing or to see a show. The breakfast provided is very good and the staff are all very friendly and helpful.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
