This hotel is in serious need of updating. The fire alarm goes off so be prepared to evacuate your cozy bed in the middle of the night. The restaurant for breakfast is ok with a crazy host who will scare the crap out of you first thing in the morning when he screams his Good Morning to you.

Stayed here for four nights this week and it is very tired and need of update. However I would stay in this hotel again it was good value for money and I had breakfast included in my rate which there was a good choice. It is about five minutes walk from cutty sark DLR station and a number of eating...

This hotel is set right next to the maritime museum in beautiful Greenwich...we had a lovely view from our room...and took our car with ample room to park it in their car park...so convenient from the M25...staff so friendly and helpful...breakfast yummy...main reason of choosing hotel was to see Bruno Mars at the O2...staff recommended pre ordering a taxi from...

Returned again to this super hotel for two nights. We were on a BB&EM tariff & everything was wonderful from start to finish. Our room 218 had everything we needed, clean and comfortable, ambience excellent, we love to enjoy a complimentary coffee whilst planning our day. Food first class and the staff are second to none. Everyone is so helpful,...

Fantastic location, and the staff are exceptional polite and professional. However the hotel décor as well as our rooms was really tired, dated, paint peeling on the walls, bathroom floor tiles cracked and the carpet could do with a clean. I would go again for the local but the hotel is in dire need of updating.

Stayed overnight for the Tall Ships festival. The hotel is ideally situated, two minutes walk from the beautiful park and five minutes from the Thames and all the delights of Maritime Greenwich. Our room was quiet, spacious and clean. The welcome at Reception was friendly and warm. Breakfast was good. The fabric of the hotel in general, whilst clean, is...

This stay at the Devonport was an enjoyable experience, not least because it was a birthday present. The hotel is well situated in Greenwich in the old Naval College, very close the Cutty Sark DLR station and within walking distance of several good pubs and places to eat. Checking in was swift and without fuss. The room was a standard...

We had another two night great stay at this hotel, it is one of our favourites! We were welcomed on check in and was given our key to our room. We did ask if we had one overlooking canary wharf and was told no but it had a view of the front of the hotel. We arrived at our room...

We chose this hotel because it is located in the heart of Greenwich (we went there for the Tall Ships Festival) and because it offers parking (£10.00 per 24 hours). We would have categorised the hotel as "excellent" were it not for the problem with the room - the outflow from the wash basin was very slow and the attempts...

As De Veer hotels go,this one was on the budget scale. We arrived at night in the dark,in heavy traffic and it took forty minutes for us to actually find the entrance, very badly sign posted,if there where any,we eventually rang reception and they guided us to the hotel, stating that it was very common for guests not being able to find...

Dear Debbie Thank you so much for taking the time in reviewing your recent stay with us Firstly let me apologies for the signage, which is what Greenwich council will allow us to have,we are currently discussing even the Flag signs with them as it is in a Royal Borough and a World Heritage site, and planning is extremely restricted. However I...

Staying in Greenwich

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
