Stayed two nights in this fun hotel with its mood lighting 'tablet' controlled blinds and entertainment system. Great atmosphere in the bar where the free wi-if was very popular. A little pricey on drinks but not exceptional for London. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Like the idea of being a citizen fir the future. Would definitely stay here again

I really loved this hotel and the neighborhood. Very affordable for London, and yes, it tries to be cool, but they pull it off. Rooms are small, but very functional. The bed was very comfortable. If you want something affordable, hip, and different, then yes, stay here. The staff was really great too and they offer free WIFI that works...

I can't even remember the last time I hated a hotel. Here's what this place is. It's a property that tries desperately to be cool, and fails as a hotel in the process. The only reason I gave this 2 stars is because it is clean and has a nice lobby. Of course, your check in in self service because...

We loved this hotel! The bar scene NEVER stops & the staff are very helpful with tourist information. The bed is HUGE and the light show in the shower is fun. Takes a bit to get used to using a table for everything but once you get the hang of it, it's fun too!

What a great, clean, fun hotel. The staff was amazingly friendly, the decor was so modern... The hotel was very new, everything very clean. Breakfast was included and it was a great breakfast buffet. Loved the different areas to read, or work on the computer.

Been here for 5 days in August 2015, Rooms are good, staff is Awesome (a special thanks to Martina which was extremely helpful). We had some issues with our room and they changed it instantly also offering us a complimentary breakfast although they didn't have to. Apart that, they are superlative and they contribute to make this hotel simply awesome....

CitizenM is a great place to stay. We absolutely loved the overall design of the hotel. The bar, the lobby, the rooms... It's just a wonderful place to stay when visiting London. It's a short walk to the Underground, but that was no problem at all. On the way to the hotel, you walk by Borough Market which is such...

This is my third stay in CitizenM London and my fourth overall (I have stayed in CitizenM Glasgow too!). I love the concept, the value for money and the consistency. Citizen M know what they are doing and they do it very well! My 5 year old daughter loves it here....which is all because of the tablet in the room....

We were on a business trip and needed a location on the South Bank. CitizenM is such a fresh departure from the standard no-frills model. What a cool hotel! At arrival one checks in at self-help touch-screen stations that reminds one of the self-check-in kiosks at airports. Not that this means that there is no human touch - on first...

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
