This is a fantastic property that provides something much different than most large hotels. I have stayed here 5+ times and it always feels like you are staying in a home. The staff is personable and usually marks my return visits with a hand-written note and small gift. These little things make a huge difference. The rooms are small, but...

I've eaten in the restaurant (Potting Shed) many times and am a fan. A tree on the line as was due to leave London gave me an opportunity to say, and I wasn't disappointed. I had room 401, which is pretty small (it's London), but very comfy and clean, and beautifully decorated. The staff are great, the location is great...

I have stayed at the Dorset Square a number of times now and it is always a delight. Like all Firmdale hotels, the rooms are beautifully appointed, the beds comfortable, sheets and towels lovely and soft and the staff helpful and kind. Its smaller size makes it feel somewhat more homelike and intimate than other hotels - we always get...

I stayed with my husband and three children in late November. I've stayed at other Firmdale properties, and Dorset Square is not in the same league. The rooms are quite small (even larger rooms) and there is only one very small public sitting room. The lower level restaurant is charming, but there is no bar. The service is quite good...

Thank you for taking the time to write us a review regarding your stay last November. As one of Firmdale's three Townhouse Hotels we are a little different to some of our other larger builds; we are a beautiful Grade II listed Regency Townhouse, with all the design features of a building this era, such as winding stair cases and...

I first stayed here about 6 years ago, and it was nice enough then that I remembered to return. Since then it's been done up - and someone has done a superb job. Lovely staff, unusually good value and everything in my room 'worked' brilliantly. A small room but the positioning of everything, higher quality fittings and some lovely (and...

I chose this hotel based primarily on area. I love Marylebone. It's full of shops, restaurants and easily accessible to every where. As is typical in London, the rooms are small. Our room was VERY small. Quite compact for 2 people. However, beautifully decorated and quality finishings. The lounge area in the entrance acted as an alternate living space as...

A friendly reception, a lovely lunch at the hotel's restaurant The Potting Shed, a room with a view over the Dorset square and a comfortable queen size bed with a good selection of feather pillows. A beautiful bathroom with rain shower, high quality amenities and a playful range of snacks and drinks in the mini bar. A quiet and welcoming...

I just love this place. Have stayed 3 times now, just for one night, and it feels like the second home I wish I had! Incredibly beautiful and quirky decor with fabulous upholstery and textiles, wonderfully comfy beds and the best hotel pillows I have ever had. Some rooms are small, as other reviews point out, but all are perfectly...

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
