The website for this hotel is an absolute lie. Please DO NOT stay here! The Thai restaurant advertised beneath this hotel is now a discount store. Flyers on the windows indicate that 'residents and deliveries should use the side entrance' - The 'reception area' is akin to the office of a budget end 2nd hand car sales room. Once given...

I'm usually not a complainer, but the Chippenham Hotel was easily the very worst hotel I've ever stayed in. There is no check in or check out desk. There is no staff over night. I'm almost certain that I was the only person staying in the hotel, and when the fire alarms started going off at 3 AM, it sounds...

One always wonder why, if you don't want to spend a fortune in London, you either have to choose to share your room with other people or to sleep with mould on the ceiling in some horrible places. This was a typical example of the second case: an awful, awful place.

We stayed here as it was a great location to stay during notting hill carnival, plus we had tickets for deviation at paradise in kensal green. We weren't expecting much, just a roof over our heads and a decent bed. The hotel from the outside looked like a pub that had closed down and the entrance to the hotel was...

Signs were bad when the pub below turned out to be a derelict shell, and access was via a back yard. Heading to the room on a massively stained carpet under a partially collapsed ceiling. The room was ok in terms of size, but dingy lighting and dirty stained walls. Towels and sheets clean. Shower luke warm. Sink water only...

To be perfectly honest I found the Chippenham to be more or less what I expected for the money I paid. The room was small but okay, shower etc fine. The breakfast was as described when I booked it, croissants, cereal , toast, tea, coffee and orange juice and was perfectly acceptable. The one really good thing about staying here...

Firstly we hadn't appreciated that this hotel was over a pub. As it happens it was irrelevant because it was actually a building site! The road outside was being dug up & it was on the corner of a busy bus filled road. We walked up the stairs & the ceiling had water dripping from it which landed on our...

First time in The Smoke for almost twenty years and appropriately so, as I continue my metamorphosis into Alf Garnett, both visually and in attitude. Where do I start with this one? Dirty carpets, dirty walls, unbelievably dirty light shade on ceiling, one room light not working, credit card machine not working and more hairs in the shower than on...
