HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 1 week ago

We spent two nights at this hotel for a city break in London and were very pleased with the quality of the hotel and the polite attentive staff. We chose the hotel essentially as somewhere to rest our heads after a busy day and didn't expect too much more but were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is very close to Aldgate...

This was our second time staying at the Ibis chain. Will definitely book again on our next visit. Pros: * Proximity to tube station- very easy, 2 min walk to Aldgate East station. * Great neighborhood- good restaurants and pubs all around, within walking distance to some great shops (15 mins to Marks n Spencer, Next, TK Maxx and more)....

Stayed here for 3 nights. For the price, you won't find much better in such a good location! Very central and within a few steps of Aldgate East tube station. The room was very clean and tidy, as was the rest of the hotel, but it was so warm that we found it hard to sleep at night. We never...

Use this hotel for convenience more than anything. Decor in reception is good as are the staff excellent in fact. But the rooms are basic and functional or at least all three that I have stayed in are. The rooms are more like student accommodation than anything else and unfortunately the times I have stayed at £200+ a night that...

Good basic hotel. Clean rooms, nothing fancy and good breakfast. Also, ate in restaurant which was ok, fairly bog standard food. Only complaint, bed was hard so after four nights back was hurting. Would certainly consider staying again.

We travelled over from Ireland to spend 5 nights in this hotel as family & friends were coming to London to join in my celebrations at the Hoop & Grapes pub round the corner. When we arrived we had been travelling most of the night so by the time we got to the hotel @ 10.30am we were shattered. On...

Was allowed early check-in as arrived on a very early flight. Staff were very friendly and engaging. Check-in and out extremely quick and efficient. Room was bare bones and could do with a safe deposit box. Other than that it was excellent for it's price range. Buffet breakfast was surprisingly very good.

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
