If you book early & get this hotel for under £90/Night, you will think you have something of a bargain. Once the price goes over £100 your expectations will rise & you could be dissappointed. Overall, Clean, neat, polite staff. Good location for London Tower & the city. Very little in the way of decent pubs, restaurants nearby but tube...

We stayed at Ibis London city in October 2011 for 4 nights. The staffs were friendly and the room very clean. It is small but within the european standard. Location is great, you have a subway station just around the corner. Another station just 2-3 minutes walking distance on another line. Tower bridge and Tower of London are within 10...

Located at the edge of Zone 1 next to Aldgate East Tube, it is not exactly in the city center as the name suggests. The surrounding area is not the best. The hotel is standard Ibis that you can expect all over the world. A comfortable stay.

I stayed 1 hight at this hotel and it was very nice. it was haloween night and the staff had made a great effort to dress up for the occassion. The place was spookly decorated which added to the theme. I did not use the restraunt that night but the menu looked good as I went out to Brick Lane...

I would suggest people to definitely plan their stay at Ibis and dont give it a choice, its worth the value. Also the food is...

What is missing is free wifi - it is simply anoying getting through a registration procedure if there are plenty of places in town where yu can get it for free. bedides that - a good...

Almost nothing to complain, except a problem with the telephone in my last day in the hotel. A french girl welcomed me at the reception. She is very polite. The room is clean, but not large. I'd say that it is enough for 2 people, since it is cozy.

Good location next to Algate East underground. Close to Petticoat Lane, Spatalfields and Brick Lane Markets. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable, Bathroom very clean and good shower. Only complaint is price, a bit too expensive but cheaper to book online.

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
