We book this hotel via booking.com the pictures look good and the hotel seems good. We book for 4 adults and 1 child and where confirm that it wasn't a problem at the time of the booking. Unfortunately we arrived to find out that the room was only made out 2 double bed, being 4 adults and 1 child that...

Provides a bed for the night, but do not expect any luxury. Cheap price, good location, staff is friendly. Facilities are a untidy, toilets don't work well and the rooms are small. Beds, towels and linen seem good and clean. Good for students, etc who want a cheap accomodation and don't care about bit untidyness.

I rarely complain about anything however this place was pure filth. The only clean thing was the bed sheets. We walked in put our stuff down, pulled out the table from the corner of the room and there was a used condom on the floor! We just left after that and stayed up the Rd in the tune hotel which...

The bathroom was gross and disgusting, there are no words to describe it. The bed looked clean (I hope it was), but the carpet was as dirty as the bathroom. We felt cleaner before the shower than after being there. Besides, the mugs were not washed properly and we were cold as heck, as the heater did not work and...

My double room for £44 was great, tea & coffee making facilities and a sink in the room. Granted, the bathroom was a little worse for wear so I didnt take a shower here. Overall, the bed was comfy and a good nights sleep for such a great price in central London.

This reviews on here are very harsh. Its a hostel in the middle of london and its cheap, why complain? Bad points:- guy on reception (possibly owner) wasnt very welcoming, bit of a language barrier however, not a big deal. Mouse trap next to my bed. Not the best thing you want to find in your room but the food...

Our plan was to stay for one night in order to catch the Eurostar to Disney. The kids were excited to go to Disney but when we got to this hotel they were so upset. First of all, the appearance is pathetic. Paint is peeling, cobwebs everywhere and carpet was shabby. Reception doesn't even have a desk, you just stand...

We went to London last week for a couple of night stay and I booked this guesthouse to keep the cost down, budget it definitely is. We made most of it as we were out all day and then only went back to sleep, and at least the bed was clean . The place is overall a bit grotty and...

Located in Kings Cross, this hotel seemed an ideal place to stay for me and my family. We payed £158 for 2 adults and 5 children for one night, split into 2 rooms. On arrival, the place looked 'budget' without a doubt, with the hallway presenting a most unwelcoming feel. Reception was a corner desk in a small room with...

Terrible hotel, not very clean, metal frame beds being held up by blocks of wood, hole in the floor covered by carpet, doors don't fit the frames, Windows all rotten, water takes a lifetime to drain from the sink and that's the good bits! Didn't see any rats but evidence they are around. Bunk beds in the reception area which...

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighbourhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
