The good things about this place is are the friendly reception staff and the location. But otherwise it's not great at all. Booked the place even after reading the bad reviews as I thought it's probably not that bad but oh boy was I wrong. First of all, there's no toilets in the rooms, just sinks and you have to...

Firstly I have to say that the pictures advertised for the rooms at this hotel are completely unlike the reality of what you actually get. Me and my partner stayed here for 1 night and paid £59 for a double room (we initially thought that was a good deal going by the photos) when we arrived we were told we'd...

Ok, I'll start with the positives: the location is excellent, and the staff were very friendly, which I why I feel so bad giving it such a review. However, the 'family' room we stayed in was NOT the room in the pictures. The room was dilapidated, sheets stained and moth-bitten, it was boiling hot with no ability to alter the...

We booked the Kensington Court Hotel in Bayswater London on a last minute deal. We were looking to book an apartment for a family of 5 in a nice area and location. The positives were the location and the area, which was safe and pleasant only a 5 min walk to Hyde Park. The hotel was a 5 min walk...

Firstly I'd like to say that the staff were very pleasant and the location is excellent. As for the room, it was disgusting. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been renovated since 1970. The carpet was filthy as were the cushions and the walls. There was even a stain above the headboard that looked like someone had spat it there....

We booked a double room at the hotel we an en suite. When we arrived and shown to our room, it was tiny, the bed was no bigger than a single bed and we were told we had to use a shared bathroom. We were appalled by this and asked to move rooms and this was unacceptable. They said they...

Booked this with my boyfriend a couple of days before our stay - price is good for Notting Hill. Location and area is pretty nice, about 10 mins max from Notting Hill Gate Station. Staff were lovely, however the quality of the room itself was below par. The sort of place that could do with a massive refurbishment, as it's...

Very disappointed. Hotel very scruffy and tired. Our room was in the basement which wasn't really an issue but....Entered into what can only be described as an ante room with chair and bookcase, then card swipe entry to our room. The room consisted of a double bed and small table. The shower was a box which had been constructed of...

I always think people are exaggerating their reviews, but seriously do not book here. The rooms pictured in the listing are a bait/switch scheme. The room we got was awful--three beds in a tiny room, private dirty run down bath with shower that backs up (yuck!). One window with no screen, very unsafe. No air conditioning. It was in the...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
