We booked this hotel through booking.com who recommended it as an alternative to another hotel we booked through them that proved to be a scam (fraudulent activity). This was the day before departure. They didn't accept Amex, so we were given the direct hotel contact details to sort card change. We were not aware that booking.com cancelled our booking, as...

We stayed at this hotel for a quick trip to London. It was fantastic. It is conveniently located near to many shops, restaurants and pubs. Near to many travel options too. Room was lovely, it was clean and the beds were unbelievably comfortable. the staff was also very friendly and helpful

I booked this hotel because of the location. It allowed for me to easily get to the major shopping points i need, and transport from here as easy. The hotel was great. The room was a decent size and there was even free coffee/tea inside. The room was clean and smelt lovely. The beds were plush and comfortable; made for...

I spent two nights here and I was given a room in the basement. In my case the room was quite small, bathroom even smaller and not a very comfortable shower. WiFi signal was really weak. The price is fair enough for a short stay if you are travelling for leisure, do not use it for business. Location is great...

After staying at this hotel I needed therapy. Back and neck pains were so severe after four nights that I totally agree with those who say avoid Kensington Court Hotel at all cost. I would not even call it a hotel, maybe hostel, but there must be some lack of official monitoring keeping this place in business. Having travelled around...

The hotel is really worth for what you're paying. We stayed in a two bedroom suite apartment and felt delighted since the first moment we opened a door. Probably the only downside of the hotel would be breakfast. No meat (ham, sausage or whatsoever) has been served together with continental breakfast.

I was lucky to had clean bed sheets, towels and has a bathroom, but I noticed some people had to used share bathroom. So, be sure to look carefully before booking. No elevator to this place, bed really suck big time.

Booked this hotel as close to Portabello road. We knew it was budget but its really shabby. Our room was in the basement, with a threadbare carpet. the bathroom had mildew and there was hardly room to sit on the toilet! All drainage ran down close to our window so it was noisy and the breakfast croissants were stale! The...

My wife and I booked this hotel as it was close to the Royal Albert Hall. We read the reviews beforehand, the good and the bad, but as it was getting close to the concert date we decided to risk it. With hindsight we should have paid more attention to the BAD reviews. We were led to an "en suite"...

I was there for 2 nights with 2 sisters and a toddler aged 2. The room consists of 2 double beds and is ensuite. The beds were comfortable . The cups that they give you for tea/coffee were bigger then you'd get in most places. Some of the staff were nice, others weren't. We did have 2 problems with the...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
