As mentioned, this is a budget hotel, budget London-style, and quite basic, BUT the bedroom was spotless. Full working radiator, little tv that had a proper signal, towels provided. Bathroom tiny but met needs, only gripe was shower wasn't cleaned but the rest was. Staff were very nice and helpful. Onsite parking is handy and there is a bus stop...

We stayed here as a party of three just for one night. After a while trying to find this place (we ended up ringing up the hotel to get directions), we arrived to a really friendly guy at reception who was happy to help us with everything we needed. He gave us directions to where we needed to get to...

Would've been hard to find but luckily we went into the wrong building and the people in there knew exactly we were trying to go so pointed us in the right direction. To be honest location seemed a little dodgy but it was right down the road from Hackney Empire which was brill for us as we were attending an...

Once we eventually found it (entrance not on Mare St as per address) room was tiny, no mattress protector, had to sit sideways on loo as sink in the way. NO SLEEP due to ice machine or something similar next door being on for 3 seconds, off for 5 seconds - CONSTANTLY. Do not stay in room 203.

No the greatest place to stay in london nor is it cheap however the staff are friendly and helpful, and late at after a night out when you desperately need somewhere to stay this place would be it, rooms are more on the small side however they are always kept clean if the rooms were cheaper they would have got...

We stayed at the City Inn Express while competing at the European Masters Championships. Hotel was just as descripted, basic and clean. It was a bit hard to find as the entrance is behind a gas-station, which ment you had to take a differenct street to get there Nice fact is that the reception is open 24/7. The bus we...

We stayed for 2 nights in a large room for five and we were five (room 303). The staff was nice and polite. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We came by car and we could park free of charge in the yard! The bathroom is very small but it was big enough for a 6ft3 tall...

Having used the City Inn Express many, many times over the years whilst in London on business, but not since 2014, this was my obvious choice for a 1-night stopover in Hackney. The staff were as friendly, courteous and helpful as always (same people) and the hotel had clearly undergone some refurbs since my last visit; the bed and room...

Was delighted to be allowed into the room just after 10.00, the staff were friendly, but the lounge needs new seating. Also there was no heat on the whole time i stayed there, the bathroom, only a eskimo could shower in there it was freezing. I thought £70 a night was a bit too much, more like £60 per night....

Staff were very helpful and friendly to accommodate us on our ladies trip. There was a mistake with 4 girls sharing 1 room and they gave us 2 rooms the first night and because the hotel was booked the next night, put another mattress in our room so we could all sleep comfortably. Very courteous staff. Breakfast was not that...
