Stayed here one night last minute when my reservation at another hotel was cancelled. It's in a great location close to tube and hyde park, and I found the staff to be very friendly. The room was a bit dated but had good ameneties (tv, fridge, kettle, tea/coffee, sink with complimentary soap/shampoo). Main down side is the toilet/showers weren't particularly...

This is a simple, basic no-frills hotel in central London. The location of this hotel is excellent, just a 5 minute walk from Edgware Road tube station. All amenities (restaurants, pubs, pharmacy etc) are close by in Edgware Road. The hotel also offers a good value for money for its location when comparing it to the exorbitant prices in London...

The location of the Winrose is close to perfect.A 10 minute walk from Paddington station and about the same to Oxford Street. However the room was very small and very hot. There was a fan but only two electrical sockets. That was a bit of a problem with a TV, a fridge, a fan and the occational need to charge...

I read the reviews online and therefore wanted to book, but decided to check before whether the parking that is advertised on booking.com would be available for after check-out as well. I called and the lady on the other side told me that I could request a spot for the time that I had booked. I then explained the dilemma...

Service was good staff were friendly and helpful. The room was fine, only drawback we were opposite a room that led into an outside area and the people in there had their door opened and were talking until 4 in the morning. That kept us awake until we finally told them to be quiet and they shut the door. Perhaps...

We have stayed in this hotel off and on over the last 15 years. It has gone downhill very rapidly. The bathroom was disgusting, the shower in our room did not work, it dripped all night keeping us awake, the curtains did not fit the window and the window had no latch to keep it open. We were very disappointed...

As my review title says, the only positive things about the hotel are reasonable price, and good location. Walking distance to Edgware Road and Paddington stations, and to Hyde park. Many shops and restaurants near. The room was old and worn. Bedlinen and towels were clean, but walls had weird stains, and the carpet felt sticky. The bathroom wasn't far...

Being smack in the middle of London makes it rather expensive. The rooms were small, the building was not well maintained and stairs leading to our room on the 3rd floor were so narrow we had problems getting our luggage up. Its only plus point was its location. Anyway, we managed to survive a 2-day stay with not much problems....
