PRICE: Excellent. GBP 87 for double, including breakfast, VAT. LOCATION: Excellent. Right around corner from Russell Square tube, with connection to Heathrow. Short walk to British Museum, the City or Soho. ROOM: Excellent. Larger than expected, with a spare bed. STAIRS: Poor. We were up four flights of very steep, tight and uneven stairs. Very difficult with backpacks. BREAKFAST: Very...

Caracteristical and suggestive old fashioned hotel just a shoot from Russel Square. You can reach easily each famous corner of London and the rate about quality and price was good. Unfortunately the management did a mistake on our reservation and, in spite of we have reserved (and got a confirmation) for a room with service, they asked us to move...

We just had another delightful stay at the Celtic Hotel. Its splendid location, great character, and delightful staff, plus its delicious and bountiful breakfast, make it a wonderful experience all the way around. Everything is spotless--we had several rooms, all with shared facilities, and we absolutely loved it--especially given the reasonable rates for a central London location. The owner, Mrs....

The Celtic Hotel is very centrally located, next door to the Russell Square Tube station, and within walking distance to UCL, the BM, the British Library, and (within 20 minutes) St Pancras station. Breakfast is excellent, the service very pleasant, the bed is good, and for London the size of the room is alright.

We booked into this hotel as it was near the hospital our daughter had to attend, it is spotlessly clean, and very friendly, they just couldn't do enough for us. We had to be out of our room by 11 am, but we could leave our case there and go see our daughter, and was told we could come back...

I booked here largely due to others reviews and I'm so glad I did. We've been here since Monday 11th and just checked out today. We had room 8. Large and so bright with 3 windows all which opened as the temp was good in London this week at least by Glasgow standards. Each Windows had shutters and curtains so...

My sister-in-law recommended this hotel. I'm so glad she did! This quirky hotel was in a perfect location for recent family trip to London. The hotel had a family room that could accommodate us all in one room (we're four people). The room also included a *tiny* bathroom with an even tinier shower. The service, staff, breakfast, and location were...

I've just stayed in the Celtic for the fourth year in a row as the leader of a college study-abroad trip with 16 (American) students and an assistant. We love the Celtic and will always go back because of the lovely and caring people, the great service, the safe and quiet atmosphere, the great location (very well placed for exploring...

A return visit thanks to my husband with our three sons and their ladies. A classic English hotel with lots of character, great breakfast and perfect location near Russell Square. This was our third visit and our kids' first and it was wonderful! Spotless and comfy I can't wait to return!

I came to London for the first time with a group of friends and I have to say the Celtic Hotel really enhanced my entire experience! It's a quaint and cute b&b that really made me feel like I was in the middle of British culture. The community style bathrooms aren't ideal, which is the reason for my 4 stars...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
