After speaking to the receptionist and requesting a quiet room for my autistic grandchildren they were put in room 250, at 1am 3adults returned to the room next door banging and shouting abuse it took the manager 5 knocks on their door to get their attention, my grandchildren were up most of the night as a result, definitely not an...

Unfortunately I was rather disappointed with the hotel. The room, whilst a good size, appeared rather shabby, and in fact, on of the tables was broken and should not have been in the room. The decor appeared tired and the walls were marked and the 'easy' chair was uncomfortable due to having no padding left in the seat. The bathroom...

We booked a National holidays two day break to Durham & Whitby. it was advertised as a luxury break, with the overnight stop being at the Sporting Lodge Hotel, Middlesbrough. On line booking was quick and easy. The coaching was subcontracted to Expressway, Rotherham, whose friendly driver Phil drove us safely there and back. We enjoyed a lovely afternoon in...

We stayed at this hotel as we knew of it from when we lived in Middlesbrough and used to drink here, plus over the past 2 years we had attended their Motown/Soul Dinner Dance, which was great. However, it was very busy with contractors who were staying, but check in was swift. Our room was average and in need of...

I stayed here a couple of times. The first time was OK. The next occasion was awful The beds are comfortable but the rooms on the upper floors were dirty and when brought to the attention of management. They gave me another room that was pretty much the same. Staff said they would move my clothes as I was going...

Visiting the hotel on Saturday evening for drinks. There was a number of people seated with drinks probably a coach trip but no one at the bar. The only seats were up at the bar which was fine as having been in before we knew people would move later so we could move from the bar in time. One barmaid...

Stayed here overnight and found it to be excellent value for money the food was also very good, had dinner and breakfast. There were leisure facilities which we did not use but looked to be well used. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

So where do I start... basically avoid at all costs. Tired. Extremely dirty. Food rubbish. The best thing that could happen here is a bomb fall on it. Room 244 is the worst room I've ever stayed in anywhere in the world. Beers pigs still fantastic 😜

Good location, relatively cheap. Clean sheets, fairly spacious, hairdryer provided. Did not try the food or leisure facilities. Bedrooms needed hoovering, layers of dust on the carpert near the skirting boards. Lighting above beds is harsh and lampshades were damaged, with the bar that holds the light out at a wonky angle. Large scratches + stains on the walls. Evidence...
