This hotel provides the basics. A bed to sleep in and a bathroom. But beyond that there’s not much more. For £36 a room I suppose you almost get what you pay for. We got back to the hotel around 1.30am to discover our key card did not work when unlocking the front doors. We called several times before finally getting answered. The night Porter came to reception and opened the door, we informed her that our card was not working, she then proceeded to argue with us and tell us that it was working despite the fact we had been outside trying unsuccessfully for 20 minutes!! After a long debate she offered to exchange the key card however we were leaving the next morning so this didn’t seem worth while. I understand that these things happen but didn’t expect to be spoken to like that. One last little thing was the body & hair wash is awful. If you stay here take your own shampoo and conditioner or you may live to regret it. Other than that it was an overall comfortable stay the room was well cleaned and the first gentleman we spoke to on reception was lovely. We had a nice night away over all. This hotel is good for a short stay when all you want to do is sleep.…
Good location and quiet considering it's so central. Stayed here a lot pre Covid , back last night for first time in ages and disgusted at state of carpets in my room 109, hideous. Not the teams fault who are just doing their job but HQ should do this up while lockdown in place. I will now avoid
Tom and Mike were very friendly, helpful and enthusiastic and deserve a raise, 10/10 best service at travel lodge. They assisted me with helping to charge my phone and ensured I was taken care of throughout the entirety of my stay.
When i first arrived i booked the wrong room type, thankfully tracy sorted it with no issues. Great room, lovely and clean. We slept really well. Covid standards met to high standard. tracy was an amazing help. Will stay again 11/10
We stayed for two nights and were very impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel. Staff were polite and imformative when asking questions. The hotel was very close to the shopping centre which was brilliant plus a regular bus route if needed. All in all a great hotel and we would stay again for a cheap and easy get away
