Triple room for 3 on a girls party night. Huge king size and a sofa bed. Room size good. Spa area very out dated sadly. No jacuzzi it had been filled in. Grotty changing rooms too. Small pool with cold water ! A real shame - this area has potential for a small spa . Party night food was your...

Stayed on a Saturday night in a very small room with threadbare carpets, only one working light in the bathroom and whilst the TV screen was a decent size it blocked the mirror. The room was really rather tired and in need of decoration, updating and a new carpet. The bathroom was original, I would guess from the 1980s and...

I stayed here for one night on 3/12/2016. I was with three friends and we stayed in two rooms. We arrived early and the hotel staff kindly looked after our suitcases while we went into Norwich City. On our return we went to our rooms. Our room was clean and comfortable,we found tea/coffee making equipment in the wardrobe, but unlike...

We attended for an evening business function and were treated to a very tasty and hot dinner served by very friendly and helpful staff which made the evening most enjoyable. Sadly the décor and facilities which we visited were very tired with the gents toilet reminding me of my school toilet from the 1960's! Lots of potential but needs some...

Being responsible for arranging dinners for our local Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship, my wife and I have considered the Mercure. Our current provider, of 6 years now, has really gone down the tubes. So we have looked at meeting rooms at the Mercure, and like what we see. There has been refurbishment. But today, together with 2 other members of...

The staff were friendly and the rooms were fine but really nothing to write home about. The hotel is very tired and the whole place needs re-decorating and bringing back to life. Free parking was good and breakfast was fine but I probably won't stay her again.

We stayed on a coach trip. On first inspection bathroom appeared to have not been cleaned, only one set of towels, no tea bags fancy coffee machine why do they think no one likes tea. Some looked at bathroom told us it had been cleaned could have fooled me. Next morning could not shower as it was running RED HOT...

The most overpriced bar I've ever been to (nearly £14 for a becks and a single gin/£16 for two ports!) food a throwback to school dinners, a gravel-esque desert, flies in my drink, facilities like phase one military training crossed with an undertakers, festivities like a Chinese takeaway. All round a below average evening. Have your event elsewhere, and for...

I'm sorry it's very difficult to recognise which event you are referring too. The bar prices you quote are just untrue. Becks is £4.20, Port £4.70 and a G&T £6.00. I must confess to being a litlle confused by your whole review. It's probably not my hotel.
