Just returned from a two-night family break. Really couldn't (and wouldn't) fault this guest house. It is absolutely immaculate, bedrooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful, well cooked and delicious. The hosts are wonderful. We couldn't have hoped for better and will definitely be returning. Thank you Mick and Sheila - The Rae family, Cumbria

The breakfast was great with a good and wide choice. The owners were very friendly and helpful. They saw us coming up the road drenched from a storm and opened the door...

The location was brilliant, just far away enough from the main hustle and bustle but only a few minute walk into the main part of town. Hosts were lovely and oaccommodating and the single room was compact with everything you'll need. Plenty of things and activities to do in town as well, I did a successful whale watching trip and...

They aim to please and it shows. Sheila takes your orders etc; very friendly. The B & B deserves it 4* rating....

Mick and Sheila are great hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them. The room was lovely and spacious and had every facility that I could have wanted, even down to a teddy bear on the pillow of each twin bed! I especially liked the fact that the shower was in a separate room to the toilet which was convenient....

Just returned after a fantastic weekend at the Middleham. Mick and Sheila made us all feel very welcome, including our two children (aged 5 and 11yrs). Family room on the top floor was spot on. Double bed and two singles. Breakfast was perfect. 10 minute walk to town. Already booked our next visit. Simon and Clair
