We stayed 2 nights for a friends wedding. The owners were very accommodating to our late Friday night arrival. We brought our dog who was very welcomed....she even had her own sausages cooked for her at breakfast time! The owners offered to dog sit her when we went out as well. The room was lovely, quiet and beautiful views of...

Just spent a lovely weekend at blencathra. Friendly hosts, fabulous breakfast, and although our room wasn't en suite, we had sole use of a bathroom. Excellent position, not far from the beach and town. The room was a decent size, plenty of room for our dog who was also welcomed with open arms. Whitby is a very dog friendly place....

A lovely, friendly bed and breakfast for a stay in Whitby. Hosts Liz and Ron could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. It was a joy to be able to bring our 2 dogs and be made so welcome. A few minutes walk from the beach or the town centre. Oh, and great breakfasts and vegetarians catered for.

Excellent weekend stay at the Blencathra. The hospitality shown by Liz & Ron was second to none and I would recommend this guest house to anyone. From arriving on the Friday Ron kindly welcomed us both to Whitby and took our bags up to our room (Room 8) and showed us around the guest house. Afterwards he told us the...
