The Belfry is a perfect place to stay. The rooms (1 & 4) were spacious, tastefully decorated, and had solid, attractive furniture with a very comfy king-sized bed. The en-suite was spotlessly clean with a good sized shower. Breakfast was great: cereals, fruit compote with Greek yoghurt, full English & croissants. In addition there were 'specials' both days: pancakes with...

Third time in Whitby and wanted somewhere a little bit special as it was my wifes birthday. We booked one of the 2 suites available and we were not disappointed. Very spacious and tastefully decorated room, cumfy bed and a beautiful bathroom. I also asked Phill and Sophie to arrange flowers, prosecco and chocs to be placed in the room...

We couldn't have had a better first experience visiting Whitby than staying at the Belfry. It is run with astonishing slickness, and the owners make it look easy (while obviously putting in a huge amount of work behind the scenes). It is modern and everything is just right, especially the breakfast! Plenty of tips on things to see and do...

First time we've stayed here and without a doubt be returning this year! By far the best hotel we have ever stayed in the room was well decorated relaxing and well thought out. Phill and Sophie (owners) were very welcoming friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in made our stay even better and can't wait to come back. Thankyou...

We booked for a couple of nights midweek, to show our 9 month old the seaside for the first time. Our first impressions were fantastic, this place is in the perfect location just off the main road, right near to all the main attractions and amenities. It looks safe and pretty from the street and our welcome was lovely. We...

Excellent b&b, run by a very friendly couple. Really well thought out rooms, with attractive furnishings, and everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Particularly notable were the conveniently placed and plentiful plug sockets, and the comfortable guest lounge, with fridge and fresh milk. Breakfasts were freshly cooked, with a 'special' each day. Easy access to the town and the seafront.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at The Belfrey and can't rate it highly enough. It is an old Victorian building but inside the owners have made the rooms very fresh and contemporary.. We had amazing breakfasts cooked fresh every day with the option of a daily special. All the cold foods to help yourself to were...

This is a comfortable, modern and clean B&B. We got parked up with no issue and the owners gave us a parking permit for four days, so we could just forget about the car, which was great. The room was nicely furnished with a comfy bed and tub chairs to relax in, the only complaint would be that the TV...

This is a quirky old building in the dead centre of town, the room was immaculate and the cooked breakfasts were superb with a different 'special' every day. Phil and Sophie were charming hosts, they were very knowledgeable about the area and Phil was fab with our little boy! We stayed there this April for the Goth Weekend and if...
