I stayed here for a long weekend with my girlfriend, and we were amazed by our beautiful room and its proximity to the cliffs and restaurants. You won't find better hosts or a better breakfast! Phill and Sophie couldn't have been more welcoming or catered better to our needs and hence we had an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable weekend. I...

This is the perfect B&B. Close to the cliff top, walking distance to the town and all the attractions. Your hosts, Phill and Sophie, are welcoming and friendly. Phill checked us in, showed us where all the facilities were, carried our case upstairs and made us feel right at home. There is a lounge on the entrance floor available to...

The Belfry is quite possibly the best B&B we have had the pleasure of staying in. The hosts Phil and Sophie are amazing, really friendly and welcoming and a wealth of local knowledge and advice, nothing was ever too much trouble. We stayed in one of the suites, which for the price felt really luxurious, I felt like we were...

We left this most perfect of B and B's only an hour ago and wanted to leave a review so that others, who were looking to stay in such a special place as Whitby, consider The Belfry before anywhere else. Phill and Sophie have created a place which has a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere, but not so relaxed that they have...

Phill and Sophie are the perfect hosts in their lovely refurbished Victorian B&B. The refurbishments have been carried out to a very high and stylish standard. Their local knowledge was very useful and spot on. Phill a fellow cyclist ensured my bike was securely stored overnight. Thank you. The breakfast was delightful. We spent a short break here and we're very pleased with this choice. The atmosphere was very relaxing throughout the accommodation and little touches such as the lounge where you could make teas and coffee's and a biscuit jar which we may have emptied! The breakfast was a choice of cereals, a round of toast and choice of jams, fresh...

I am not sure what differentiates a B&B from a hotel. I had always associated B&Bs with net curtains, avocado bathrooms and UKIP enthusiasts. I am sure that many of these B&Bs still exist but this place is completely different. The location is excellent and the accommodation is in a fantastic old building that has been renovated to a very...
