We had a one night stay here. Very helpful staff, good food, great views and enjoyable night. Some rooms do need a look at. Restaurant and bar very nice. Do go in the library it has a fantastic fire place.

Great location, very busy on arrival but food and service good and excellent value. After a long walk on the moors and beach the Sunday lunch option was most welcome. The beef was lovely and tender and the chocolate brownies to die for.

Our second stay here. 2 nights. 11 people. Food was A1 atmosphere in the bar was good. Rooms were superb. Staff very helpful. They gave us the private dining room, which sounds very posh, but because we were 11 they wanted us to all eat at the same table. What a thoughtful touch. We Will definitely stay there again

We had a one night stay here from a special offer, D B&B, absolute bargain. We had a nice room on the second floor, quite spacious, larger than average, with TV and hospitality tray and separate bathroom and toilet, both with wash basins, so quite useful. There was what looked like a part eaten biscuit under the dresser (I didn't...

Beautiful building with wood panelling and comfy chairs and sofas. The food was of a really high standard and served in Yorkshire portions! A glass of sherry on arrival was most welcome. All the staff were very obliging. Our deal in January was excellent value and we made the most of the lovely walks in the area.

Booked through booking.com for one night, mainly chose this hotel as it had parking - most hotels in Whitby don't. Was pleasantly surprised as its off the beaten track along a narrow country lane. The location is good if you want a quiet night/break as no passing traffic. Arrived a little early so got a cab into Whitby - had...

We went to the hotel on a winter break offer which we upgraded to a 4poster suite ,the room was well worth the extra ,very comfortable .The service was mostly good hard work to find anyone behind the bar early evening. The downside for us was the food not really good enough for this quality of hotel ,if we went again...
